@Xnero I'm not sure if this is easier in your scenario, but you can also provide the FQDN of a site. For example site=superuser.com is supposed to work, no need to have the api_site_parameter
@technastic_tc Delete the "chat." from the URL. I copied that link from a canned comment I use, which uses a relative link, which I forgot to fix before pasting here.
@technastic_tc Its worth remembering that like most (all?) sites - much of the moderation here is done by folks from the community like myself.
We do do retag requests ( And I believe you have one pending) to status-review but generally not status-complete but flagging isn't a good way to get a definitive answer from staff.
@technastic_tc where did Sonic advise you to flag in order to set a bounty?? I really doubt that he said such a thing, pretty sure you misunderstood what he said, or the other way around. My first suggestion still apply: just set the bounty yourself. Losing 50 points won't remove any of your privileges.

Your chat parent is typically the site you have the most reputation on. If you're a moderator, it's the site you're a moderator on. If you're a mod on multiple sites... It's probably the site you've been a mod on the longest (citation needed.)
The backend isn't really my area of expertise. I can usually answer most questions about the front end, though (but broad overviews on the spot aren't my thing either).
A chat account isn't automatically deleted when a main account is deleted. This can lead to an anomaly where you have multiple chat accounts, which you then need staff attention to merge.
@Mithical it did get from @balpha before he was re-assigned, few years ago, and since then, not a squeak.
SE won't remove chat as they're using it for their own internal stuff, but they also have no reason to improve it. For the ordinary users, it's just a bonus.
