@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance thanks. My intention is only get thought from RO. Thanks Tink and rene to reply. @ArtOfCode you get me wrong.

@Tinkeringbell I slept through it
@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance I don't think he wants to
and not without a constitutional amendment

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance Nope, as he was born in South Africa, and the Constitution specifically states that only people born in the U.S. can be President

2 hours later…
@Shree why RO? RO has no additional info about how SE works. It's just a user like you or me, who happens to be a room owner.
@JourneymanGeek not now, but maybe tomorrow...
@SonictheStay-HomeHedgehog pfft. Constitution. It's just a paper.

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance hah
Its more than "just" a paper

I'm honestly surprised Trump didn't set it on fire yet. But he's surely going that way.
@JourneymanGeek not really. All it needs is one president and enough support in senate and it goes poof.
How much it takes to change Constitution or write a new one? Didn't check, but assume 80% support or so?

6:27 AM
@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance more that poorly written laws have very real concequences

And... I am right, and even less than 80%.
They changed the Constitution to give themselves more money, so they can change it when it gets in their way.
@Rob see above ;)

Rob
That's why the position is called POTUS
They are unlikely to change the Constitution so that someone born in a foreign country can become the leader.

Besides
Musk's likely to rather be the first president of Mars

Rob
Maybe a future mission will discover that Major Tom fell out and landed there.

@JourneymanGeek China will claim Mars for themselves.

Rob
6:37 AM
After they finish building their base on the Moon.

I don't think any of the big powers are there yet
and amusingly I think big tech egos might be the best bet for it

Rob
6:50 AM
The US, Russia, India and the ESA have unmanned vehicles that made it to Mars, China didn't leave Earth orbit:
List of missions to Mars a listing of spacecraft missions relating to the planet Mars, such as orbiters and rovers. == Missions == == Locations of selected Mars landers and rovers == There are a number of derelict orbiters around Mars whose location is not known precisely; there is a proposal to search for small moons, dust rings, and old orbiters with the Optical Navigation Camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. There should be 8 derelict Mars orbiters barring unforeseen events if they have not decayed as of 2016. One example is Mariner 9, which entered Mars orbit in 1971 and is expected...

India and the ESA also have the best launch sites

Rob
Equatorial sites are advantageous.

7:20 AM
!!/tea

@V2Blast brews a cup of chamomile tea for @V2Blast

8:06 AM
@SonictheStay-HomeHedgehog that is done. That is btw coded in the script. It doesn't get returned by the API.

2 hours later…
10:13 AM
@Rob China doesn't need to do anything directly. They just buy whoever do the actual things.
They already hold the world's economics in the guts.

10:52 AM
@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance Isn't that the other way around most of the time
@PM2Ring No, it's just that . . . I have nothing left to say
@ArtOfCode Haha burn
@rene You're famous now

11:36 AM
@M.A.R. everyone buy crap made in China, thus making China rich and letting them buy the important things.
(e.g. electric companies... water facilities.... and soon enough space companies.)

Why is it flagged for spam?!

should probably be demoted to a watch
in Charcoal HQ on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, Mar 7 '18 at 13:27, by Mithrandir
We could also downgrade Palmitate to a potentially bad keyword (reason locked at 1 weight).
Apparently, I suggested that two years ago
And done.

12:05 PM
Hey
New avatar (it's a catcus!) :D

If I try to pet you, will I wind up saying "me-ow"?
2

._.
I donno if the pun, or petting a catcus is more painful

@Mithical thanks!

maybe
I'm a flowering cactus so not that painful to touch

@Magisch I've found your dragon brother.

12:11 PM
the footage on the demo 2 stream is insane

Dragon is even more thorny. ;)

Someone promoted an artist on twitter whose artstyle I liked so I paid for them to draw the catcus
I wanted one for a while but I can't draw for shit sadly

@Magisch nice... how much did you pay?

25$

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance By the other way around, I mean it's usually others buying China's cheap services. China has become the unavoidable labor workforce if you wanna profit like Apple

12:15 PM
financial independance means I can pay for a new avatar instead of lifting one off of google images and support an artist
:D

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance It's a shampoo ingredient
@Mithical Tears are rolling down my cheeks

@Magisch whoa... well, not going to pay such amount for avatar, but do admire your dedication. ;)

Actually, maybe should have kept the eye version. It was nicely creepy

@M.A.R. so shampoo sellers spam it?

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance we don't get those I think, but anti-hairloss serum or whatever, maybe
Every -ate is a salt of an -ic acid, BTW

12:48 PM
@Magisch Love it! :D

1 hour later…

@YaakovEllis This has just happened to me

@Dharman can you give me anything else to go on other than that this just happened?

@YaakovEllis I am looking at what could cause this. I don't have much.
What information would be useful.

some way to repro

A: "follow" link glitches to "You’re no longer following this question"

DharmanThis has just happened to me on this question https://stackoverflow.com/questions/62117063/how-to-hide-the-div-with-the-form-and-post-data-to-database-and-show-a-hidden-di I believe it has something to do with the button "Load new answers". When you have the page open and someone adds a new ques...

All I did was open a page, down vote, close as "Needs debugging", downvoted answer, loaded 2 new answers dynamically, loaded two new comments dynamically one by one, then tried to follow the question.

2:30 PM
@YaakovEllis Yes, I just reproduced it again. You need to wait for someone to post an answer, click the dynamic load button and then try to follow/unfollow the question.

AJAX. It's always AJAX.
@SmokeDetector k

@Dharman cool, thanks. Can't get to it right this moment though, but thank you

First assumption: the AJAX loads the follow button into the document, creating a clone.

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance When I do $('#btnFollowPost-62117063').length it returns 1

@Dharman ID must be unique, maybe jQuery is smart enough to "merge" them somehow.
But still, it cause havoc.

2:32 PM
And it happens on any question. I tried with another one, same thing

@Dharman can you post on MSE, along with your repro?

Is there an existing question on MSE? Should I create new?

Probably just create new.

doh!

Wasn't Robert 1 de-staffed?
Oh, the Robert above

Wow, congrats on 20k @Robert above
Every is 20k+ now except me

6:52 PM
@M.A.R. ty

@M.A.R. one

7:46 PM
@rene So there is no way to check for it programmatically?
@RobertColumbia Would you like to be added to the delete-vote pings?

@SonictheStay-HomeHedgehog yes I would please.

Okay, notifying @rene @Glorfindel @ShadowKeepsSocialDistance to add you to the list.

@SonictheStay-HomeHedgehog ty

@SonictheStay-HomeHedgehog I think I checked and I would need to fetch the html and/or JS for the site and then do some parsing. I guess a few people keeping an eye on it will work.

3 hours later…
Rob
11:15 PM
You look well, Dave.
