Social distancing increased 5-10x, depending upon circumstances:

this means, presumably.... someone is eating toast.
Or I'm having a stroke.

As we increase our social distancing efforts and have fewer people around us, building connections and socializing becomes ever more important for our mental health. We spend a lot of time at work and a decreasing amount of time socializing outside of it, so turning some of that work time into a social time can serve two purposes. For it to be effective, though, you can’t just push socializing initiatives alone.

How should questions concerning the (not supported) apps be handled? Awhile ago I updated the tag information on the app-related tags, but that's not really an effective way of relaying the message of "Hey! These aren't supported, don't use them! Asking a question/reporting a bug about them doesn't help anymore, sorry!"

isn't there a cannonical post announcing the app isn't supported

Surprisingly, no. It was an answer from Yaakov on a bug report simply saying that it is no longer supported. Not the best way of relaying that information.
Best we've got is this, imo: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/299862/…

i mean, the question doesn't have to be is it supported, an answer on an off question should suffice

Okay, cool. Cheers.

Anyone else notice that the close dialog looks... different than it did less than an hour ago?

@YaakovEllis Loads <3

Hmm. Comment referencing a post referring to a comment.... How meta 😁
@Spevacus yup

@JourneymanGeek Looks like some network-wide design changes to the Flag and Close dialogs. Interesting.

4:06 PM
@Glorfindel Might it be that the new close dialog breaks the lost souls script?

@Tinkeringbell wouldn't surprise me, thanks for pinging

@Tinkeringbell v1.5 of the script fixes this. It turns out the new dialogs have a slightly different way of calling the server as well.

@Glorfindel That's quick! Thanks! :D

@Glorfindel AJAX?
@Tink hey, glad to see you back to full activity! :D

The word 'off-topic' seems to be deprecated ...

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou That's kind of you to say. Thanks.

Top tier mod tbh

Of course. She can fly, of course she'll reach the top!

@Shree yeah. But the UI of the site is not part of the public API so not a concern for SE but for the script maintainers.

@Feeds It's a COVID related death:
John Horton Conway (26 December 1937 – 11 April 2020) was an English mathematician active in the theory of finite groups, knot theory, number theory, combinatorial game theory and coding theory. He also made contributions to many branches of recreational mathematics, most notably the invention of the cellular automaton called the Game of Life. Conway spent the first half of his long career at the University of Cambridge in England, and the second half at Princeton University in New Jersey, where he held the title John von Neumann Professor Emeritus. On 11 April 2020, at age 82, he died of COVID...

@Tinkeringbell is it? You're welcome then! ;)
@Rob ugh. Sad. That guy had lots to contribute still, as far as I could tell. :(
@Shree user scripts were never officially supported by SE. And for months now there are rapid design changes all around, so "without notice" isn't really true.
@terdon that's the way to salute someone... Huge kudos to xkcd for that.
