For instance, checkout is disabled on the Sabbath, and orders aren't shipped during Jewish holidays.
 
Oh, so yeah the above applies.
The days between the holidays are not Like Sabbath, but many companies prefer to stay closed during that time to give some rest to the employees.
(or work half days, like in my case, until this year)

Weird. I just noticed this "lost soul" question, posted as an answer to an ancient question (presumably considered not worth migrating to MSO when the split occurred). But the author has already posted several questions (mostly relating to Spyder) on SO, and while most of those have 0 score, one managed to score 11, so I wouldn't expect a question ban. So why he decided to post on MSE is a bit of a mystery.
