Q: I think a question is off-topic but it's been under bounty for three weeks. What can I do?

gerritRecently, I learned it is not possible to either vote or flag a question as off-topic when it has a bounty. Normally the advice is to flag it for moderator attention, but this question was asked by a moderator. It was bountied on March 17, March 23, and again on March 30. The question is locke...

So... has anyone found the April 1st thing yet?

Supposedly SO has an extra dark mode
But never found it

Does it make your screen go black?
That would be extra dark indeed.

Q: Can extant user story tools help debug how the SE UI allows two users' experiences of their interaction on SE BOTH be real, valid AND VERY different?

Matthew ElveyI've been trying to understand how my reality and some mods could be so different. I may have cracked part of it: (It has to do with how a user's actions interact with a mods via the UI. It appears they can be madly out of sync in a very destructive way and the outcome is more the fault of the...

Can you decentralize and the decipher a user's message when they're trying to debunk the very idea that sometimes, very rarely, they might be wrong about some potential drama — Perhaps, about locking a question, including, but not limited to, a question ban — that has involved a moderator and they've discussed it often but probably not reached a conclusion?

@M.A.R. I've read it thrice and casted a delete vote. Does that answer your doubts?

@M.A.R. avatar may explain why user posted such a message... Didn't bother like @rene, cast close vote after reading half. It makes zero sense, no point wasting time to try and understand something like that.

Rob
@JourneymanGeek Couldn't find it?

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou fair enough

Doubt the dark mode is April Fools joke. They spent way too much resources on it. @Journeyman

Rob
It doesn't seem to do anything different from the other two settings

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou no, an extra dark mode

Normal dark mode was launched before April 1st, so that wouldn't be a joke indeed. I have no clue what this 'extra dark' mode is supposed to be. Didn't see a post to that effect.

@Rob think it means the site detects if your system has dark mode by default then use dark mode too. Didn't check though.

But the diamonds have a much better rumour mill of-course.

Maybe there is a new chicken?

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou yup
And your browser is aware of your OS theme

@Rob @JourneymanGeek We're trying, but ultra dark mode is not an option on our systems.
Is it hidden? Is it safe?

@JourneymanGeek It seems your recent decline reason on this post may have gotten cut off - it ends with "I'd guess" with no detail as to what you'd guess

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog that it would break a ton of stuff, and would be reviewed alongside fixing the domain/application behind it as well

Yeah, my flag isn't that important now, since after I cast it, a bug report filed today regarding the same thing was marked as under review

By a dev :D
so there we are
