Sigh... can't be more minor than that, 11 years old post, yet approved. meta.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/71291

Though correct IMO.
Why should correct edits on old posts not be approved?

Too minor that's why.
Why dig 10 years old post just to change "i" to "I"?
It's pointless.
It clatter the front page.
No need for more reasons to reject.

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou If you spot it quickly roll it, that hits both. One time there were a few edits made by one person who didn't need approval, on one of my posts, rolled it and that was the last of it.

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou I tend to disagree regarding grammatical edits are encouraged, no matter how old the post is.

@Rob can't roll back a suggested edit, just approve or reject. And after it's approved rolling it back is pointless, just add more noise and won't teach anything. (rep still earned, no penalty.)
@πάνταῥεῖ fair enough, can't force others to agree with my ways and no rules set in stone for that. Just don't like such edits for the reasons above.

Your rules are fair enough if done by a specific user in a spree :-P

@πάνταῥεῖ well that's already worth reporting, not just my personal annoyance. ;)

Rob
@ShadowWizardisEarForYou You were not an editor, you spotted that, your rollback is here; as was explained you would only do that if you spotted it immediately, not this many hours later. --- For my part in that I don't know why I didn't notice the date, I would have joined Specious in their rejection. Last I checked rolls do lose the 2 points, and multiple occurences block editing (more likely on other sites, more leniency here). As to your comment to NP,
there is a reason, used by the first reviewer.
Back in 1)2.

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou There's a Q&A about that, especially BoltClock's link in the question:

Q: Rollback right after the accepted edit

qbenIt's not the first time I see that my edit was rolled back right after it was accepted. I think this is maybe because my edit contained some bad choice and the user who accepted it realized (after acceptance) that it's not really good for some reason. But it's not so good because I may not reali...

I'm prepping for the maintenance to start: I have a bottle of Whiskey ready ...

Well, I have a bottle of red wine (maybe two).

Awesome, enough to get drunk, either during or after the maintenance ;)

Drunk enough so far, so yes ;-)

@Rob I... have no idea what you're talking about. What rollback? How is it related? Like I said, we can't by any means abort a suggested edit, even a mod can't.
In the post you linked to I edited the title few years ago, that's all.
@Rob not relevant. I never said the edit is wrong, just that it's too minor. Once done it's done, but I'll never approve such edit myself.

@rene Prepping for the maintenance need Whiskey. Oh, I start but lockdown takes away my Vodka. :( .

:P

2:30 PM
@rene Slainte anyways ;)

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou That's the advantage of the written word, if you need to re-read what you replied to or the conversation you joined you simply scroll back. That avoids ever needing to confess: "I... have no idea what you're talking about. What rollback? How is it related?", as you can simply re-read rather than re-ask.

we're back?!

Do we even need to be angry about trolls anymore
They seem to be a part of every online thing

hahaha so true.

Now that the world has seen my views on kiwis, I feel much better
Let's talk about wikis
What's the origin of the word "wiki" anyway?

@M.A.R. Samoa
And originally it's wiki-wiki

@M.A.R. What is now Daniel K. Inouye International Airport

Rob
8:17 PM
@M.A.R. The airport shuttle and it's associated website Wikiwikiweb predates Wikipedia:
The Wiki Wiki Shuttle is a free shuttle bus service at Honolulu International Airport. Shuttles run between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm local time, carrying people and baggage between the various terminals. In the Hawaiian language, the word wiki means quick. The shuttle's name inspired American computer programmer Ward Cunningham to call his new website "WikiWikiWeb" in 1994. == Reduction of operations == As of 2007, the airport was moving away from dependence on the Wiki Wiki buses, which were put in place in 1970 as "an interim measure". Travelers had been complaining about the hot, slow, outdated...
So, Polynesian as opposed to one specific place, and they don't keep history of word creation/discovery to the same extent as other places.
