^^ Unfortunately on that site we have a well written question, a one-liner answer saying "yes" (that's vote supported) and there are three answers against (arguing against the way regular users are assisting with moderation, doing reviews). Kind of like having hammering needing being done, giving out screwdrivers, but they're not proficient with either tool (on DIY.SE no less).

@Rob Colloquially, people think SE is a "mean place" because they "closed a question I liked". One of the posts against listed a specific incident, rather than a culture problem

@Catija I see a lot of questions in the 2-3 range in the CVQ. And with only about 6 or so regulars reviewing, one person can veto a closure

@Machavity Some people reply "Thank you for finding the duplicate, it resolves my complaint" or "Thanks for for reminding me that I was on the wrong site". There are people, from time to time, that when things don't work out the way they planned are upset. I posted a helpful answer in my profile a couple of years ago, I've yet to have anyone mention that they have read it.

Anytime one has to ask for things to be done properly there's a shortcoming, a weakest link somewhere.

One software fix would be to allow two voters in either direction, and for the voters 'reversed' to suffer an increment to their 'review audit' score (they get slightly more frequent audits). The experts will fly through unscathed while those whom don't work properly will spiral down.

My primary job is remembering movie titles based on the description "that movie with my favorite actor that does that thing". My mother has about a hundred favorite actors I think.

but I can't recall what was in any of them o_O

I don't remember all my toys/tv shows either. Most of what I clearly remember is from when I was 10 or older... like my Tamagotchi and dad watching Knight Rider with me each evening...

Most of the baby toys I remember, I remember because my brothers played with them too.

Oh, I had barbies and a giant purple/pink van for them, but I only vaguely remember what it exactly looked like... just that I never played with it, so the neighbor's kid got it... and mom still talks about that as if that was super bad.

@Rubiksmoose I... Put all the leftover booze in a pitcher, added the appropriate amount of lemon juice... And now it's sitting in a 2l almost full soda bottle, so we can easily make them by just adding cola tonight.

I wanted long island iced teas, my brothers wanted them, and I have an aunt that drinks them too ;)

So far, it works quite well
