eh, just looking at the US elections, it's certainly been a while since so much misinformation was presented as true. It has effectively rendered the press useless for getting facts to the end user... people only want to hear the "facts" that support their side.

i don't follow politics outside the us... so can't really compare that to eu/etc

but.... our PM, stood, with a Bus saying £200mil a week for the NHS

I've had a link on my webpage to one of my StackOverflow answers for a long time now. For fun, I track it with Google Analytic events, so I know for sure that I've received more than 1000 clicks. Yet I haven't even gotten a booster badge for it. Here's a screenshot for the click events from Goog...

Since the apps aren't maintained any more, and probably won't in the near future, many users are waiting for bug fixes or new form factors to be supported. If the SE development team is too busy with other projects, why not outsource the development to the community? Why not make the apps open s...

Here's an example: I got an Announcer badge for mathoverflow.net/q/53122/5340 in 2017 because I shared an answer, and now I got an Announcer badge for the answer mathoverflow.net/a/53738/5340 too.

Those are dupes, and I expect that most of the Announcer badges that I just got are dupes; the only ones that aren't dupes are the ones that I should have gotten within a few months but didn't because of a bug.

Admittedly this won't happen to everyone, I know I'm one of the most announcing users on Sci Fi, I've checked that on data.stackexchange at some point.

It looks like most of those 20 Announcer badges that I just got on Sci Fi now are awarded mistakenly and will be removed.

The one I just got on Anime SE looks like a dupe that will be removed too.
