@rene The procedure is to leave the one which has been running the longest active, and standby the rest. Here is an example interaction, and a message repeating the above instructions. They used to pin a message saying which one is most preferred but I guess they got tired of putting it back up, now it's assumed knowledge. :$
The reason is the one that's been running longer is the one that ought to be running (the others started on their own, without a failover signal), and it contains a longer cache built up than one that's newly started. If the one that's been running longest is hung or broken then one would switch instances (and lose the history, which has already happened anyways).

@ShadowThePrincessWizard expensive country. And fairly protective of the own market. Everything is expensive over here, so people need comparatively high salaries, so products get expensive fast, so ... etc. etc.
Since it was deleted by a mod, IMO best course of action is flagging your answer, then a mod can reply and explain privately. Will be faster than "contact us", and no need to discuss it in public, probably.

@ShadowThePrincessWizard @Bart basically, if you see the clip the girl is starting to talk about a very specific scene in the game about Aerith. She start a line "I though there was a way to...." and then the other guy jumps in to stop her.
But from what you say, sounds like a hint for easter egg they put in the remake, or even old easter egg nobody ever found in the original game itself. @Hitodama
The point here is that the other guys stop her from spoiling a plot element, then when rumors about an "alternate route" are mentioned he gets angry, saying that no alternate route existed.

Hmm... well, I don't find it weird, but on the other hand, not that familiar with FF7. Played it years ago and completed it, was fun, but forgot most of the plot. :/
I commented somewhere, sometime, that my vision of the last GoT season is a total twist of the plot where it turns out the Night King is the "good guy" and everyone else are actually evil. Too bad the writers had other plans in mind. :P

IMHO, they should be very clear from the start and state if the plot is the same or not.
I have plenty of friends who will only buy the game in one of the two scenarios, and they know that.
Trying to spread confusion like the commercial is doing... will maybe give them more sales on the first episode....
I find moderation efforts frustrating. When respectful disagreement is treated as trolling simply because some people are (subjectively) offended by, I feel that there is a precise choice of alienating users because of their views - regardless of how reasonably or rationally they present them.
@EmanueleCiriachi It is possible to troll while appearing to be "respectful" and "reasonable" and "rational". Indeed, that is precisely what skilful trolling is. So to suggest that something that appears to be respectful, reasonable and rational can not be trolling is incorrect.
@Raedwald that is also correct, and in that case it is not possible to evade the context. I make no secret on being socially conservative, and people who disagree will dislike my views. I will, however, present them as clearly as I can so that people will at least understand why I act the way I do.

and they liked the original plot. They may be willing to give you money for a remake if the experience is the same but updated with new graphics, but they may be not interested in playing "a different Final Fantasy"
@MetaAndrewT. yep, but so far it isn't clear if Remake == added content like expanded Avalanche backstory, more cities, more minigames etc.... or Remake == This time Cloud is actually Zack (just an example)
Eeeek, they could even really pull out a Cloud is Zack thing and tie FF7 to KH, since that watchers of fate looks suspiciously like the members of a certain organization...
If the ultimate measurement of what is allowed and what is not is the amount of people that dislike it, this leaves the system open to emotional manipulation.
@MetaAndrewT. oh, if that is the plot I am fine with it. I am one of the few dissenters out there that keep thinking the death was a "last minute need more drama" move.
@rene It would be great if the Status Webpage had a link to the Help File, and there was contained that info - so they could send people to a specific page instead of explaining the same thing a few times per year.
Oh and since you are talking about FF7; I played the original game on PC when I was in high school, over 20 years ago. I think that even if they keep the story identical it would not feel the same to most people, as people tend to change significantly in 20+ years.

@EmanueleCiriachi talked somewhere else about that before, probably in the RPG chat room. I had a very specific plot in mind, but it basically mean that at the very least disk 3 has to be rewritten for the most part.
It will evoke the feelings we felt back then - after all our memory is associative - but we may not be impressed by an exact remake with better graphics. It would make some of us feel that the memory we had of the game was embellished.
Since we're here - is there a delay on the change of one's avatar?
Not sure if it's on our end, I think it's some sort of server-side caching and it takes some time for changes to propagate. I really don't know though, just guessing.
