It reminds me of the near wake of the Trump election... when racists came out of the woodwork and revealed themselves. Because I hadn't seen overt racism in so long I made the mistaken assumption that it had largely died. It was disturbing to realize they'd just learned to keep those opinions to themselves... quietly biding their time.

After I was fired I realized I had an account on that mod's site, requested deletion, then requested expedited deletion because I was concerned about misuse of PII. It got deleted eventually but no expedited handling.
