I'm not sure... I don't find this particular internet provider funny. Ever since we have gotten the new stuff, there seem to be regular weird problems and lost connections... I think I've never seen such an unreliable internet provider since the day I went on it for the first time.

Oh you young whippersnapper. Back in my day the internet was as reliable as an Elfstedentocht prediction.

Graduated can mean so many different things today.

That said... it probably won't stay that way for much longer. There's little reason to prevent beta sites from having them.

Or like, "public beta" label anymore, I hoope...

though the tie between full rep-privilege/site-design is still a mystery, since private beta->site-design is too much a jump

It doesn't require the site to be designed, does it? Or does it also work on non-designed graduated sites?

We have to connect the post to stuff behind the scenes. Just creating the meta post isn't enough.

Correct. We have to send a list of URLs to a dev to have them activated.

Wait a minute; so that's how previous years' ad posts stop working despite still continuing to have the tag. I thought it had something to do with the fact that previous years' posts get closed as duplicates of the next years', but since I rejoined, I haven't seen that happening in all cases.

And ultimately, it was easy to change SO's ad system to come from the new MSO rather than the old MSO (now MSE), when the MSO-MSE split happened; it just involved changing the URL.
