There seems to be multiple definitions of freedom of speech out there, and I hear a lot about how companies like Google and Twitter are exempt from this as they are private entities and freedom of speech only applies to the government. This seems to contradict the following definitions:

Most people who complain about freedom of speech are not talking about the legal rights (which only applies to governments and certain public spaces), but the concept itself. In the same way, no one would criticize someone for complaining that someone is being a jerk to them because it's not against the law to be a jerk.
It's ridiculous to assume that someone who is saying that they are being censored on a website and that censorship is bad is actually claiming that said site is breaking the law by censoring them. That's just a strawman.

@forest Even if it doesn't melt, it's still a massive electrocution hazard. Also, it's likely to spark and start a fire as soon as somebody touches the cord.
Yeah, electrified chassis is yet another way this could become a criminal liability.
Oh, and if you used this contraption to commit a felony, and somebody touched it and got electrocuted, it counts as a felony murder, which bears the same punishment as first-class murder.

E.g. 15 year old gets drunk and pisses in public. Gets put on sex offender list and is not allowed to be anywhere near his little sister until she turns 18.

Fun fact: In the state of California, if you have a little too much marijuana, and you and your palls fire a gun while sitting on top of your car's hood at the shooting range, and you decided to put the pills from one medical container into another empty one to save space, you will be put in prison for life, and it's mandatory.
Because that's three felonies, and California has the "three strike law".
Another fun fact: Utah still does firing squads for executions.

@JohnDvorak I saw an episode on "Cops" where an old man with terminal cancer and no family was caught in a marijuana sting operation (he was using it because of the chronic and severe pain). He was sent to prison to die in extreme pain (traditional pain meds didn't work) and they put down his dog, which was his only companion.

I would like to see chat rooms indexed by search engines. To make this possible, the 'load older messages' button at the top of chat rooms would need to work without JavaScript, or else the chat room page should show all messages if JavaScript is not enabled.
