user312109
does all the mods actually see every message like that?

yes
We also have a Rob here. Presuming all Robs are part of one united brotherhood, I expect they can answer on behalf of the similarly-named Physics.SE mod

all mods of a site see (and are pinged afaik) on every moderator message

@Shog9 All Robs are connected via a mind meld.

10:01 PM
@Muze In that case, use /contact if you really want to continue to fight it. Tavern ain't going to get much done for you.

at that point its mostly more successful to sit it out

user312109
a year is to long for making edits.

@Muze A year is what happens after multiple infractions of the same thing.

user312109
they are different

user312109
I can do anything there.

user312109
10:03 PM
I post a comment. suspended.

user312109
corrected grammar. suspended

user312109
get a down vote. suspended

only mods can see the full story

user312109
@shog9 sees all

not much normal users in this chat can do to see what could have caused such a long-term suspension. but replying to the mod message would get your question to the people most likely to be able to answer

10:07 PM
@Muze Somehow I doubt you were just suspended for making harmless edits. Mods don't tend to do that, to be honest. Refer to the mod message you were sent to find out why you were really suspended; if you want advice from people here, sharing that message here would also be a good move.

@Muze yeah, but... How much do you want me to talk about in this room?

user312109
I did thanks, but I am at the point now where I really tried with Physics. SE and I have to get another account and IP and start over with a spotless slate. Takes less than a year.

user312109
@Shog9 everything

@Muze That...won't help you as much as you believe it will.

> Hello,

I'm writing in reference to your Physics Stack Exchange account:

https://physics.stackexchange.com/users/148704/muze

You have previously earned two one-year suspensions from Physics. In 2017 you were suspended for (in part) a pattern of inappropriate edits. And when that suspension ended in 2018 you were suspended again for (in part) targeting other users with upvotes and downvotes.

In the week you have been active in 2019, you have avoided asking new low-quality questions. However you have continued to make insubstantial edits and to post pointless noise comments, and now we h

I just want to use the SE sites without restriction.

user312109
I'll pay

user312109
a fee

That ain't how it works

@Muze Unfortunately, that's not how SE works.

*fortunately

10:13 PM
You are expected to live up to, and adhere to, our standards.
If you could pay to get around that, well, SE would quickly be super rich, and filled with junk.

> If you fix your grammar or edit the last 2 answers you have with -1 I will up vote them. Let me know. and sorry.

So...a valid business model, if they wanted to embrace it, I guess.

user312109
In this case I was only trying to fix what I broke and got suspended.

> Plus 1 was from me
I down voted back before the last suspension I want to reverse some of them and it requires an edit. — Muze 1 hour ago

user312109
as in poor questions to good questions

10:14 PM
@Muze And fixing what you broke involved serial voting, did it?

> I have reposted this in photo.se
> I'm trying to clean up some poor questions. Can you delete this so I can?

@KevinB Trying to be nice.

user312109
I was reversing my down votes to up votes

...point is, you kinda came back from your suspension and went on a whirlwind tour of some previous nonsense, kicking up dust in a futile effort to reverse your past actions.
You'd have been better off just moving on

user312109
then an edit ban?

user312109
10:17 PM
lock the question

user312109
there are other alternative and I have improved.

It ain't just about the edits, it ain't just about the comments, it ain't even just about the targeted voting (which isn't exactly any better when it's upvotes vs. downvotes)

or, y'know, you could listen to the endless advice you've been given over the years instead of asking other people to cater for you instead

it's that moderators repeatedly find themselves having to follow you around with a bucket and a broom
nobody wants to do that
just ask questions. Post answers. Make edits. Leave comments... In a way that doesn't make work for other people

user312109
@Shog9 targeted voting there it is.

10:20 PM
y'know you are the #1 most-flagged user on Physics?

user312109
I didn't know editing my own posts created work.

for all time?

user312109
really???

more'n double the # of flagged posts from the #2 user?

user312109
Can I get a badge

10:20 PM
no
10

user312109
kidding

just... Try to spend more time quietly reading

user312109
thanks

user312109
i am trying

you got 5 suspensions on your Physics profile. The last 3 for 365 days. One from a CM
nobody wants to make your life hard
but... Nobody particularly wants to babysit you either
if you can get to the point where you can participate without "oh, it's Muze again" being said anywhere, you'll probably do just fine
the tricky bit is getting from here to there
nobody really knows how to help you
so... They're asking you nicely to just go somewhere else for a while

user312109
10:24 PM
Yes but again there must be a more dynamic system that teaches more than punishes. After a year I forgot what I did wrong and I did.

@Muze ...by trying to reverse what got you suspended in the first place?
I'm...a little skeptical that you forgot.

user312109
I didn't even get the chance to answer or ask a question this time. I do remember some of it.

print your emails & put 'em in a folder marked "READ FEB 12 2020"?

user312109
thanks. I will

user312109
@Shog9 I heard of people getting bigger and longer suspensions system wide?

10:27 PM
it's not a competition

user312109
Last thing I want

user312109
I didn't down vote anybody

@Shog9 - If you get a chance, can you look at this mSO post? The lock on the linked question seems a little excessive.

user312109
I only up vote questions on the lower end of the spectrum if you look and is not limited to physics. I have always voted this way base on the question. Ver Very rarely do I ever down vote and shouldn't be suspended for that.

@TravisJ it's locked temporarily to provide time for discussion
I wouldn't worry about the lock. I'd worry about what happens when the lock expires

10:37 PM
Oh, it has a mandatory expiration?

user312109
I am crying about his. I try to do good and I get suspended for it. Next time I will not do anything just read.

user312109
out thanks

@TravisJ yeah... Not sure why that's only visible to mods, but... It'll lift in a week

A week? Hm, that seems excessive. Oh well, thanks for the information.

@Shog9 :D :D :D Starred!
P.S. You can run but you cannot hide >:-)

11:15 PM
so... yeah, expect to see a few reports together here
