@Luna I've let the Physics mods know you want to talk to them. That said - 99% of the time, suspensions have good reasons behind them, and they were probably aware of the evidence before they issued it. If you want to elaborate on the situation, some of us might be able to help you here.

@Luna Sounds like there are deleted comments on that question that I can't see. Anyway - whether or not you are being honest here, you're gonna need to see this from an outsider's point of view. In revision 1 of that meta question, you said you started the bounty - no mention of a sibling. When someone pointed out that accidentally starting a bounty is basically impossible, you switched story to saying it was a sibling.

JMac's comment sums it up nicely. To someone uninvolved, it looks suspiciously like you're fabricating stories to get around the normal conditions of the system. All for the sake of a whole 50 reputation.

@Luna Aye, you've said that plenty of times. Saying it more doesn't make it more believable. The fact that you only came out with that revelation after everyone told you it wasn't possible makes it seem like you're making it up.

So - look at the whole thing objectively. You've lost 50 rep in a bounty. That's not much, you can make it back pretty quickly if that's what you want. You're suspended for 7 days. That's also not a lot - take a week's break, use it to reflect on how you use the site, and come back in a week.

Right. You have a twin sister who can read your mind to figure out your password. Do you see why people aren't finding this believable?

@Luna Whether you believe that twins are connected or share thoughts or whatever, or not, no twins think so alike that they can literally pull a password from the other's mind. That's just not a thing. If this is a thing that happened, then change your password. If she figured it out because you used some attribute or knowledge you both share, then use a random password. Better, have a discussion with her about the inappropriate use of other people's accounts.

@Luna Lemme make a theoretical point here. If you have a dog called Fido, and your password is FidoIsTheBestDog... that's gonna be pretty easy for anyone who knows you to guess, magical mind-reading powers or not. Likewise, if you've used your mother's maiden name as a password, piece of cake.

If your password is "B79@SO3&sw2l;!" instead... yeah, ain't nobody guessing that. Not even a twin.

On the other hand what if the student had a good reason for the drink ( in which case there would be a need to work out reasonable accommodation with the institution)

On the other hand - some people abuse such things. The no food and drink rule is usually cause people leave behind litter, and spillages are a pain in shared spaces. It's a bit like how people with emotional support peacocks ruin things for people who literally need their assistance animal to function

Reminds me of when I worked in the computer lab & this one gal would come in with one of those motorized scooter things & ram people's chairs. On the one hand, it's gotta be frustrating, trying to navigate a small lab that clearly wasn't laid out for scooters. On the other, getting your chair rammed by a motorized vehicle is also frustrating.

Eventually, I'd try & just intercept her & guide her toward a workstation near the door

...this didn't seem to improve her mood any
