even then, you need an expensive permit, have regular check ins that your property is secured, and the gun must be kept unloaded and stored seperately from the ammo at all times outside the shooting range

so such a gun would be 0 use to me for home defense purposes

A cousin of a dad's coworker trained guard/attack/bomb dogs...

So basically big, super well behaved dogs

which was excellent socialisation while we were training him

There's the other consideration too. Food costs money going in and costs time coming out. Do you want the dog to think of you when it has to go, or do you want to think of the dog when you have to go. A practical puppy:

I sometimes wonder what the internet is like for tech unsavvy people

between ublock origin, extra blocklists, anti blocker blocklists, ghostery, a pihole and commercial grade antivirus software I feel like I see maybe 10% of web content out there

well pihole is a misnomer. Our firewall does it and it's a sonicwall

Browser updates also help though... I still remember the time when browsers didn't prevent multiple dialogs appearing every time I tried to go back/close the site...

I might actually get a raspi with pihole at home though

I want to get a raspi with an actually raspberry pie casing

and I'll situate it with fake whipped cream ontop and on a plate with a fork next to it

then when family visits I can say "Oh this is just my raspberry pie"
