I imagined doing horrible things with that filename.

There may be some nice filename guideline that makes the company unfixable?

Hotmail spam was disappointing

@Magisch I have this external API that only allows for a maximum of 21MB of file content in total over 10 files. Next version will allow for an unlimited number of files ... the 21MB size will be unchanged ...

@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ your mind :P seriously, there are some words that are always inappropriate, but, otherwise, if the intended meaning isn't inappropriate (even if you use the cleanest words possible, you can still convey an insult), and, of course, you didn't think about an inappropriate meaning or didn't realize there is one, don't be afraid :P

Khalid El Khatib on January 23, 2019

What languages do you want to work with next year? Are you more productive in an office or working from home? When did you write your first line of code? We want to hear from you in our annual developer survey! The survey, now in its ninth year, launches today and anyone who codes is encouraged to participate.

Take the 2019 survey!

This year’s survey questions are designed to gain insight into developer career paths, programming languages and tools, working preferences, and overall opinions and feedback. There are some fun questions, too (like previous years’ tabs vs. spaces and gif vs. “jiff”)! …

@Feeds !?
to take, or not to take, that is the quest...

@Rob Wut?
Also..
I am honestly bursting with anticipation of telling everyone about our new swag setup. IT IS GONNA BE AMAZING, AMAZING I TELL YOU. Our revamped marketing department saw what we had and were like OH HELL NO so they're fixing it.
Mean.
It's like shouting 'I know something you don't!' :P

heh
He changed a lot...

If there's a swag shop I'll be buying all my tshirts and hoodies from there
I'm not even kidding

Sorry, I watched a video of cat sneezing instead of filling the survey...

I'm sorry... but I don't feel like spending 25 minutes just to increment a few integers just now.

Lol, I read the 2nd starred message wrong ...

Is it possible to get a list of questions that got downvoted below -5 first (the less the better) and now standing on positive (the more the better)... perhaps after an edit? Or is it to taxing/complicated for SEDE...
(I think there was a hat for this kind of occurence?)

4:27 PM
@Tinkeringbell the moebius ring UPS topology worked great so far, why change it?
Also, what are they going to do with all the now useless hamsters?
New pets giveaway swag?

@andmyself reversal badge maybe?

The only though that SharePoint actually allows an users to do this is scary enough
and the fact that now a poor soul will have to try and pick up all the glass shards....

@Derpy hehe. One line. Lots of upvotes. :D
@Bart inbox replaced with something else? :P

4:43 PM
@Derpy awesome. Is it permissions that prevent it to start working again when the files were moved back?

@ShadowWizard I read it as "So you get all the Viagra to stuff your inbox??"
And found that rather dubious :D

@Derpy ... dat won't work

...

@KevinB yes?

seems like kindof a silly question

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Link at end of answer (60): Free foley / sound effect sites? by Joseph Sardin on sound.SE

Probably. It'll be something silly that I'll miss and it'll be like... fetchMessages({ limit: 100, offset: 100})

the api's limit property is limited to the values 1-100
right there in the docs

5:16 PM
Yeah, right in the docs

discord.js is just a wrapper for the api

I'm well aware.

hence why i found it a silly question

But if I wanted to get more than 100 messages, I can't just up the limit. There's some way to do it...

The only option allowed by the api is to iterate, increasing the offset on each request
so... considering discord.js is just a wrapper for the api, it's not going to be able to do anything outside of those bounds

5:20 PM
so unless I use the API directly I can't?

you can't either way
the api's limit is 100 at a time, discord.js relies on the api, the limit for both is 100 at a time.

yes I know it goes at 100 at a time But what if I wanted to fetch 2 non-identicle sets of 100 from the same channel, one directly before the other?

would that not be iteration?
5 mins ago, by Kevin B
The only option allowed by the api is to iterate, increasing the offset on each request

	channel.fetchMessages({ limit: 100 }).then((messages) => {
	})
What do I do differently is all I'm asking...

@FreezePhoenix provide an after: discord.js.org/#/docs/main/stable/typedef/…

5:34 PM
Now here's where I admit that the docs are blocked

in the next call you do {limit: 100, after: messages[message.length-1].id} something like that

You could probably create/run the docs locally from github

You'll laugh your head off when I tell you that's blocked too.

5:59 PM
i'm more inclined to call BS personally
seeing your github history

When was it last updated?
In the past 2 days?

5 days ago

It was blocked in the past 2 days. It's annoying af, because I can't look at jack.
I broke strict mode.
can someone please explain that I don't mean toggling strict for the whole function, I mean toggling it in individual areas:

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad ns for domain in answer, username similar to website in answer (54): Left Column Sidebar Not Showing Up on Shop Pages by seri kurye on magento.SE

@Asuna Just... some of the questions

What 'bout them?
@SmokeDetector k

7:15 PM
@Asuna Some of the questions were a little personal, and the one could have been responded to with "helicopter". And I said my most commonly used coding editor was the raw text one that comes with an RPI

Why? xd
Use Vim or Emacs or something at least .-.
You can skip most of the questions btw

Yeah I skipped them
I do use emacs, and vim. Just they're somehow worse and have less capability than the raw text editor

@FreezePhoenix I mean... it's a demographic survey, by definition it's gonna have some personal identity questions on it. You're free to not answer 'em.

Yeah. I know.
Waffles anyone?

7:35 PM
@FreezePhoenix Always :p

But good luck. I don't think it'll kill you ;)

Anyone here familiar with possible CAPTCHA triggers?

@Asuna Nice seat

7:54 PM
@Werner meta.stackexchange.com/a/164900/369802 Does that help? It doesn't have a separate section

I managed to trigger an IP rate limit (1-minute ban) once. A captcha, never.

But the parts on answering/asking do mention when the captcha's turn up

except on data.se, but that doesn't count

@Rob Oooh. Just get rid of the banana though :P

Rob
That's supposed to be one of the best places in Belgium, according to TripAdvisor reviews. 5 out of 5

7:57 PM
@Rob It certainly does look really good :)

@Tinkeringbell I looked at that, but it didn't answer the question I had in mind. The question is: Could using an SE site while being mobile (say you're on the bus on your laptop, using a tethered connection to your cellphone) and you're switching between connections - I don't know how that works - cause one to fall prey to a CAPTCHA trigger?

Rob
They certainly have some weird ones, one looked like it had fish and Dandylion leaves on it. Yuk!

For example, there's mention of a "less than 5 second limit" for posting an answer/edit. If you switch between networks while being mobile, could it be that SE thinks you posted something within 5 seconds of starting it (even though you've starting the post 30 minutes ago, say)?
Again, I have no idea how mobility affects timestamps on SE's side.
Hence the question.
