local grocery store had a program where you could buy a 5€ goody bag that went directly to the local soup kitchen to distribute to familys in need. The store would match with another 5€ bag (all products at cost) for every bag sold.

We're getting an automated app review for our facebook app because we have one to allow Facebook logins to Stack Exchange (dev this time).
They failed review because user_friends is a permission in the app...which we don't want, didn't request, and never ask for in auth.
Ugh.
Not a bad idea to nuke it IMO. There is no argument to keep it around other than "I found it funny". If you want to preserve the content, copy and host it somewhere.
(basically, they expect you to notice them the first time you have to travel to the city)

hello, @JNat. I assume you was the one that handled the cheeseboards swag delivery. Just wanting to let you know that the DHL helpdesk was very worried - based on what they said at the phone, they feared you guys sent me a radioactive slice of cheese weapon of mass destruction ^_^'... Just wanted to share the laugh there.
The donation requests around Christmas generally get a bit to tear-jerky for me. I more enjoy pitching in with the "Samedi du partage" over here, where you just fill a shopping bag with groceries with a decent shelf life.
@Derpy yeah, but still, it means I need to go over all cities and talk with everyone, and the sad thing is that I did it before (that's how I play), but just didn't think it's important to remember what each says, so doing it again means repeating something I've done, just in a very boring way. So bottom line... not my cup of tea.
Also, that would give me "only" 99 citizens. I still have no idea who is the 100th i.e. who I missed.
@Tinkeringbell let me see... they mentioned "games,". Seems like there is some left-over from some Arqade swag. At this point, it starts to seem like an "investment". And as an added bonus, you can just claim whatever you want without any actual check/proof. I do like the idea mind you, I just don't fell very confident the implementation
I see it as "We want to get rid of all the swag we have, as fast as we can", on their side. And try to make it so people do good things as result. Sorry @Derpy but I think Tim is right this time, it's win-win situation. :)
So some make things up.... still, some don't, and it encourage them to donate.
Or read others sharing their stories and have a good feeling as result.
I got swag before and paid around 5000 NR (Around 44$) for customs clearance for SO stickers and few key chains :D . So I love swag but don't want swag :) . If i donate I got swag so am not donating anything :)

so basically, they can decide that a piece of wood is actual worth 200 gold coins if they like... and then have you pay more than double the cost of said piece of wood as "taxes"
@Derpy reminds me of security check in some popular Tower in New York that I visited with my wife. She had apples in her bag, and they thought it's grenades. She almost got arrested.

@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ Besides that... The zoo where my brother works has a desert habitat (greenhouse). We had a really hot summer this year, and temperatures inside the habitat reached over 60 degrees celsius (if I recall correctly, close to 70 at some point). They had to bring in fans for desert animals :P
@Magisch Yeah. We've been to that same zoo on summer days, and they have a tropical rain forest area... I'd rather be in the desert area than in there, on those days.
