@Shree developer story exists only on Stack Overflow so any bugs/requests about it belong to MSO. Bugs that happen on all sites (like the one I posted and actually @andmyself noticed before me) can be reported either in a per site meta or in MSE.

as I understand it, they pretty much just exploited a temporary XSS vulnerability to insert some JS to redirect people to their choice of target

At that point, it's not even December yet xd That's like the earliest, but you still can't say "merry x-mas" until it's at least the 24th/25th depending on when you celebrate it. It's like saying "Happy birthday!" 5 days before the birthday xd It doesn't make sense (unless there's a party or something, but like out of thin air it doesn't make sense)
