See, this is why I want SE to support IE11, so I can use it on my Windows RT tablet. My laptop, while slim, is still heavy and gets hot, and my original Surface is nice and light and has a keyboard cover.
Well, I do have some PCs I could use as RemoteApp servers to "run" an alternative browser on Windows RT
I keep a desktop running at my house, so I could find out its WAN IP, enable port forwarding on my router, and use applications on it while away
It's also useless for music streaming since Microsoft terminated the Groove music service last year. (I subscribed to it not only to use it on that, but also because they paid higher commissions to the artists.)
But you can still browse websites, play some games, edit Office documents in a true desktop editor (rather than one pared down for mobile), use it with USB flash drives, and for those cases where you need some other app, just use RemoteApp
It doesn't have a driver for optical drives, but I recently acquired one that has a special mode for devices like it, where it emulates a standard USB flash drive and can thus work

@JourneymanGeek oh, I am pretty sure @ShadowWizard would have been very happy with that option. Gives him plenty of time to find that profile before it gets deleted.
The mistake was starting with having a unique design for each site; Whoever decided this didn't look far enough into the future, where it was obvious they can't keep it for over 100 sites. Now that it's a done thing, taking away the custom design from the sites which have it, is cruel and real risk to the smaller sites, which might lose long time users over this.
I said it before somewhere, probably some comment: it's not moving cheese, it's taking away cheese without giving something else in return.
e.g. in all the top bar changes, the core functions were kept, even if moving to different place.
