@Mithrandir or an officially supported way to do it.....
12:57 AM
@Mithrandir My bots log in on stackapps.com, because that seems "neater," but the captchas are still a thing
... I think I just thought of a way around the captchas -- try logging in on different sites.

@JourneymanGeek Exactly, that's what I mean - have a dedicated bot login method through StackApps.
...maybe I'll turn that into a feature request, actually.
makes note to do that when I'm back at Tauremornalómë

Is stackexchange.com on any priority list? Who owns the network profile favorite list on SE.com? There is a bug that might just be simple batch job that didn't run: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/313603/…

I've always wanted to say this but wasn't able until now: Please welcome the great tit into the Tavern on the Meta!
The poor young bird flew into the house, was frantically trying to fly through the closed window, fell down behind the curtains, I gave it time for a breather on my hand and then threw it out of the window and it flew into the first tree.
(luckily I saved if from the cat and the dog trying to play with it too!)

@πάνταῥεῖ ----^ If anyone flags that as "inappropriate", we definitely know they have a problem, not me...
:D :D :D

Just for safety
The great tit (Parus major) is a passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is a widespread and common species throughout Europe, the Middle East, Central and Northern Asia, and parts of North Africa where it is generally resident in any sort of woodland; most great tits do not migrate except in extremely harsh winters. Until 2005 this species was lumped with numerous other subspecies. DNA studies have shown these other subspecies to be distinctive from the great tit and these have now been separated as two distinct species, the cinereous tit of southern Asia, and the Japanese tit of East Asia...

Can you create tags at 1 rep on Patents.se? ... yes: patents.stackexchange.com/help/privileges/create-tags
that is probably because they use tags to indicate the patent number.
Oh well.
12:04 PM
@SomewhatMemorableName Thanks. :-)
One of the reason "tit" is a perfectly fine word in British English: Blue tit, Great tit, it all went titsup, ...
12:34 PM
OMG. 15 tit in Tavern. faints
@Fabby Well, Dick is perfectly fine when used as a short nick for William :3
1:00 PM
hi

Sign the Tavern is deserted: no flags for such words!

Poor Moby the Whale Hunter...
@Loong hides
@rene it's bit above Area 51, yeah.
They always forget to update its code base when updating the sites code base, but unlike A51, they do fix it. At some point.
Sometimes days, sometimes weeks or months. :)

Q: Wrong number of favorites in network profile for some users

PangFor some users, the number of favorites in one of his/her StackExchange accounts does not match that in his/her network profile. For example, User Pang (me): In stackoverflow.com = 4 For stackoverflow.com, in network profile = 5 User Jon Skeet: In stackoverflow.com = 3 For stackoverf...

@rene ^
4.5 years and noting was done to fix it.
So I can say with utter certainty that favorites on se.com are utterly broken for long years, and the team isn't going to fix it. :)
IMO better just remove it from the network profile, it's not like anyone really needs it.
That's the fastest fix. :D

@ShadowWizard What? No, it's useful.
Hello, fellow humans and Stack Exchange developers. Has anything of interest happened in the past week, except for the "Why are we deleting useful comments now?" "Yeah, let's not bother commenting at all, I'm serious" drama?
.... not sure I resemble either of those
@Mithrandir what for?
@ShadowWizard I use it find stuff that I link to often and/or refer to.
@Mithrandir so very big chance you see "fake data" to begin with, as the bug reports prove, the list on se.com is often not synchronized with the actual per-site favorites.
1:48 PM
It updated yesterday for me, and it's useful enough - seeing as I do use it.
@ShadowWizard might be a dupe
@JohnDvorak How was your stay at the Wellness resort?
I enjoyed it, thanks
2:12 PM
I favorited an MSO meta post (Thwart publishing duplicate and low quality questions)back then??? What the...
Apparently I favorited 6 MSO posts...
High five @JourneymanGeek
@rene I'm a bit confused by that
I can migrate anywhere that OP's not qbanned
Mod wanted to migrate to StackExchange.com 😲
I created an account just to comment lol
.... sigh
I'm not even sure how that happened
and its not a mod/site I'm super familiar with either
aaand... done. Migrated to SO, clean comment thread. Magic.

from MSE or...?
from Arduino.SE
ahh ;)
yay
oh not magic
just things working as intended ;)
We need to train mods better in using the system ;)
hmm
Eh, there's a few steps that way ;)
There's precious little ways we can communicate with other mods across sites and share our collective knowledge until recently
(TL is no secret, and we do have a team mod mods now)
@rene this is something i mentioned in the recent mod survey
2:36 PM
Well, In my experience - with new sites, SE's been careful to try to have at least one experienced mod as a pro tem
I'm happy with the route ->post in CHQ -> Yell at a mod on site.se -> @Mithrandir posts in TL -> success.
and well, this feels like a "errr, I KNOW SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT BUT NOT WHAT"
lol
I was sitting in on MSE at the time lol

Shouldn't the documentation rooms on chat.SE be frozen?
They have no purpose now
@quartata which ones?
Go to the very last page of rooms there
They're special for SO Docs and they don't freeze on their own
3:13 PM
@quartata hmm, strange. But yes. They can should at least freeze.

hmm
I don't even know what the hell is going on here meta.stackexchange.com/a/313640/135565 :(
7:53 PM
@JourneymanGeek me neither but I was sure that wasn't broccoli I was looking at ...
yup
and/or whether its a troll or a really confused pothead
how about both?
hm
I cannot dispute that
8:24 PM
wait, is "pothead" an allowed word?
... considering the circumstances...
The link just dumps me at the question, so I'm missing context here
psst. yer sub 10k proles ;p
@JohnDvorak its images of... weed.
oh, ok
or really odd looking kale

9:35 PM
@ShadowWizard I'm familiar with the 3 from Total Recall, biut not with the 15...
Which Sci-Fi reference is that exactly? >:-) ;-) :D

Off-topic question was migrated from another site: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/313628/…
Typo by a moderator, I guess ... — Glorfindel 8 hours ago
@Glorfindel Moderator actually made a naïve mistake, resulting from a different typo:
A "feature" in the SE system means you can't migrate to SE. The closest is Meta.SE, so hopefully they will be able to push it to SE from there. — Majenko ♦ 8 hours ago
@rene Hang on... it may have been my brain doing odd things. I was trying to migrate to SE not SO. oops? Um... Can it be re-migrated from here to SO? — Majenko ♦ 8 hours ago
