I think yes and no. D2 was a lot of success, but the current form of d3, with the grifts, kanai's cube, and seasons, is pretty competitive I think

I still have a character I play from time to time on my xbox. I am not allowed to play pc games anymore. Not really allowed to play xbox much either, it is packed up in the garage at the moment.

@TravisJ The complexity and build diversity is 100% gone

@Magisch considering that D4 is also rumored to be a mmorpg.... probably for the better.

There isn't much build diversity by character in d3, its true.

And there is no ceiling to how much you want to stack dps - so that's all it becomes about, more dps. That and the unique design make the game extremely formulaic

every class has maybe 2 viable builds and most of these are based on lining up every single ridiculous modifier to maybe do decent damage for 5s every minute

poe doesn't have a learning curve so much as a learning skyscraper

I like the simplicity of titanfall

I try to get a decent amount of rep, but avoid burning out. For a long time I averaged 1k per month as a cap.

Still pretty close. 6 years, 7 months, 61k.

I also kept a 10k per year cap

Answering can require quite a bit of time.

Totally agree. However, the inclusiveness push managed to effect the grey area that is effectively impossible to moderate directly. I think that is where it had the most impact.

I'm in sort of the same boat

If someone is being unhelpful and toxic that behavior needs to be corrected - it's just ... it feels like we run risk of misclassifying well intentioned housekeeping with gatekeeping

But rather that if we're needing to make the grand guesture every so often... It means we're missing stuff

Some stuff isn't really subject to moderation. Some users really did tone down their own behavior voluntarily.
