@Stijn Because you quickly used the OP-hammer less than a minute after I RC flagged your question. I was wondering if it was because you saw the chat message above.
morning. Just a quick question. Anyone actually got a reply / feedback after using the contact us button on the site in the last year? I know they are pretty busy, but lately it seems that all my messages end up in limbo.
@ShadowWizard actually checked it... it is a bit more complex than that. Due to some "try-catch-return null" mess there are some specific cases where the first call will always trigger a silent error and return null but the successive ones won't.
@Magisch I still haven't got any feedback on a "please burinate offensive posts" that I had to escalate to them after some user-level "mod" decided that calling persons mentally ill is fine due to room policy... I think that may be over 6 month old by now, maybe a year?
(that said, I think the last one I did ended up being something I could sort out myself, and the other is slightly complex - and there might be a related meta post ;p)
@Magisch I would prefer to not fuel any further discussion on that post. It's pretty old, and since getting it removed seem impossible, getting it forgotten is the next best option.
Is this a good way to reduce the widespread effect of bad review audits: to simply not use a given post as an audit again for other users if someone fails an audit on it?
Is glitch.com preemptively blocked (This IP address (52.55.193.207) has been blocked from access to our services.) or was my GET call the bloody limit?
How to connect an AirPrint service from Canon MP237 printer to a Wi-Fi? I do not understand the steps given from canon support in consumer products guide. Does it require canon mp237 driver software to be able to use it so that the Canon Airprint service can be used?
Thanks....
Given how blatantly off-topic the question is, how fast the answer showed up, and how faster it's accepted, as well as previous MS records about the site, I strongly suspect it's spam.
Ever since the profile redo, the age was shown in the network profile, but not in the per-site profiles. So if someone wanted to see the age, they had to go to the network profile. However.. It's vanished! The field is still there in the profile editing, however. It doesn't appear as if this was ...
Since the big profile makeover about two years ago, age is no longer displayed on user profiles.
However, it's still visible in the network profile:
I can't see any point leaving it there when it's removed from all site profiles. Can it please be removed from the network profile as well?
Seems a bit odd that the FR that caused the change is closed as a dupe of a support question?
Removed it from Area 51 as well, good catch. It is still in the SE Data Dump because people use those for larger scale data analysis. — Michael Stum ♦Apr 12 '17 at 0:17
@Catija I was trying to find a review but that kicks off my review consensus userscript and then I opened a second tab to find a review in another queue, kicking off my review consensus userscript and then ... I was blocked ...
A couple of axioms here. Firstly, most people agree that you should write your first draft quickly, without too much care on quality, and get something down on paper first. The real writing begins with the second draft. This is the approach that most writing books try to teach, and I'm taking ...
@TylerH: Well, you can see where we are headed by reading between the lines of this post. I expect there to be another post in a week or two. Actual rollout is going to be a while so we can get in some testing with users. (Also, the design is not settled yet.) — Jon Ericson ♦11 secs ago
This appears to be a re-occurrence (or it never was fixed) of this bug:
Age calculations are wrong in the data dump export
Basically, when running a Data.SE query, the age field seems to be always off by one, for example:
select
id as [User Link],
age
from Users
Where

@JonEricson Yes. Of course, the API does the correct calculation, so if you wanted to know the birthdate of a specific individual / subset of individuals, you could just poll it daily until it changes.
