^ back in the day when laser pointer became a fashion trend, most of them where completely capable to cause eye damage if used incorrectly and pointed at someone face.
I personally know a person that lost about 2 diopter thanks to a coworker that was toying with a laser pointer.
Nowadays, they are considered illegal where I live and shops shouldn't sell them.

Recently the banks associations and Cyber cell of police dept. implemented a new mechanism to prevent fraud (well it is just a method / way). Many people got calls from fraudsters saying they won lottery or something like that and wants to tell them the OTP they received in mobile. and then they lost the money from their account. In such case, the team (mentioned above) decided to delay certain transactions upto 1 hour and created a whatsapp account for this.

If you lost the money in that way, simply send the full details to the whatsapp number within 1 hour and the money will not be sent …
So, the bank can revert it

@Catija you're a moderator on IPS, can you maybe check out this user? He joined 9 days ago, just to post two questions which tell "catchy" stories that attracts lots of sympathy. There are some holes, e.g. in the first he says he moved 18 months ago, yet in the second he says he's working in same place for 4.5 years, and doesn't even mention having a girlfriend which is a big factor in that case. That user also never posted a single comment. Something there is fishy.
IMO good chance both stories are just that, made up stories, written just to get virtual points and fame.
