@AaronHall and then literal roboflagging, as SD overtakes Skeet, Harry....

"up to 100 points" won't overtake Skeet.

Today is the 313th day of the year (314th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 52 days remaining until the end of the year. This date is slightly more likely to fall on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday (58 in 400 years each) than on Saturday or Sunday (57), and slightly less likely to occur on a Tuesday or Thursday (56).

@Shog9 are you around? Sorry to bother, but there's an argument that's been going on in this room and I think mod intervention is needed
or @JonEricson if you're willing
Thanks

@angussidney Seems to have settled a bit?

@JonEricson yeah, one of the main participants left the room. It should remain calm for now, and hopefully it won't flare up again if they come back.
Thanks for taking a look, anyway

5:37 AM
@angussidney Sure thing.

@Shog9 I sent a support ticket a while ago, and JNat told me you might be contacting me about it. Do you consider it already resolved with your meta post?

i--
@JourneymanGeek that was an advice to the OP

No point advicing. Nuke from zee orbits. It is the only way to be sure.

@JourneymanGeek no point in making enemies. peace is better :-)

Hence why I recommend ignoring them.
And making peace through superior firepower.

I even support nuclear war if it is for peace

Be careful with PII

@Elias American PII?

user315433
I assumed it was about Pentium II (or Pentium III in Journeyman's answer)

OMG.... such a powerful CPU.
PII sounds better than i7 though.

This reminded me... what was the first computer I bought with my own $$? Approximately this

user315433
I had no idea about "press and hold" for hard shutdown, so for a while was unplugging it when it froze.

Spam with an actual, working code snippet.

user315433
Copied from the top answer, though.

@Michelle not sure about this, it could be NAA
"the link is not working" = the site?

user315433
Copying code or text from top answer and inserting a link is a common technique

4:29 PM
but rarely with any other text

waiting for spammer to write a code snippet that displays spam site on the console

I mean I flagged it anyways but

user315433
I don't see an issue. Surely the link is planted with one purpose: draw traffic there. Have you seen the site?

No
That's why I don't know

user315433
Well, I visited before flagging. The link is in MS

A good thing about Channels is that retiring them should be much easier than with Docs.

9:42 PM
@ShaWizDowArd :D

10:31 PM
@Michelle I mean, if we stopped work on Channels today, sure. But as soon as people start contributing content, it'll be just as messy as Docs. Doing the right thing with content we no longer plan to host is inherently complicated.
It helps when people just take initiative:

A: Sunsetting Documentation

albertWhy not make a community effort to port the content over to MDN? I've seen GitHub and the Wayback Machine mentioned in the comments, and while I agree with using either/or, porting to MDN would benefit both communities and the web in general. I always felt that documentation was reaching too far ...

I spent my morning fiddling with a script to rehost examples.
