hey can I get a status-completed tag?
Q: Message for upvotes is misleading

Eᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏ IʀᴋI realized the other day on SciFi & Fantasy SE that the upvote message is misleading. I had joined and asked a question, this one if you were wondering, and tried to upvote an answer. It gave me a message saying that my upvotes would not be shown until I had 15 rep. Okay, I understand ...

it's been fixed for a bit

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ flag and wait... but don't hold your breath, I got several such flags waiting for months.
(so personally, see no point to keep flagging for those reasons.)

@ShadowWizard maybe we should try pile-on flagging?

@Telkitty how about the underwater camera?

plan to get a 32GB sd card in 2 days time, then will try to record some videos
looking forward to that :)

12:39 PM
@rene nah, this will just irritate dangerous entities... ;)
I tried to poke a blue entity about custom flags and the final conclusion is: don't do that.
(neither flag in the first place on MSE, nor try to ask why the flag isn't handled after long time.)
retracts 10,000 flags
Just custom flags
@Telkitty Cockroach? Or some other kind of roaches?
my 2 hens eat them
final delete vote needed here @Bart @rene
@Telkitty very useful... ;)

I was the first to del vote there ...
@rene yeah and @Bart is the last. I'm in the middle. :D
cozy ....
@rene not really. You're too fragile, being a flower, and @Bart has too many sharp edges. :/
Meh, you can't always win.

@rene That might work, if we use spam flags. Nuke the post, problem solved.
The alternative of vtc as no repro and subsequent deletion takes more effort when the post has a high score.
@zaq lol, it's like curing a headache by killing the patient. ;)
3:18 PM
@zaq Yeah, I can totally see us raise 6 spam flags on a couple of Tim Post or Shog posts such that their IP get banned....

Tanks in advantage!
At least that's not in a title... stackoverflow.com/search?q=title%3Atanks 8 results, all of them actually mean tanks.

A: How do you say “geek”/“IT guy” in German?

Carsten SThe common word for “geek” is „Geek”. An “IT guy” could be an „IT-Mensch“.

This is not the highest scoring answer...
The question got a little muddled by having both terms in the mix, which aren't nearly synonymous...
