the problem int this case probably isn't just how "sensitive" one is. This particular image also involves religion.

While I can fully understood (and probably prefer) that Stack Exchange keeps itself as a non religious organization, I think they may probably want to avoid content that may result ~~offensive~~ upsetting to people based on their religious belief

I think that if someone posts a Nazi symbol while discussing the Third Reich history no one could really call it offensive... but if you start to use that as an avatar probably a mod will have a call with you pretty soon.
