Looks fine to me. With time you get used to zero-score non-accepted answers. The main thing is that you enjoy writing them. If you don't, then just don't bother.

But the point of meta is to NOT have a hive mind. I can almost predict the answers and comments from the usual crowd, including my own. It needs refreshing ideas with a fresh look on unsolved problems.

Best part is when I answer completely different from my own prediction.

@bluefeet @shog9 I'm trying to get statistics to see if the claim made about meta-review culture is true. As the reviewtasks are anonymous in SEDE I can only get this data. What I would like to know is, per close voter with their reputation, how many times they: closed voted on the question (organic); close voted from review; were the first to cast a close vote.

If you rather have it anonymized I'm fine with having it grouped on reputation/1000

If you have time to create and run the query on meta.so I would be very pleased

I'm not sure if deleted questions would change much in the outcome.

some people really like to gang up on people asking for help on meta

e.g the treatment a'la "Why did my question get downvoted" "-10" "-20" "Because it sucks, unsalvageable, go read help" {meta q gets downvoted to -10, closed and deleted 20 minutes later, linked question gets the same treatment}

@rene I didn't get a problem with API parameter myself... in my experience, hostname.split('.')[0] works in all cases except localized SO (where it's hostname.split('.')[0]+ '.stackoverflow'). In particular, softwareengineering works as well as programmers.

I fell on flat land while fast walking in a park today. I constantly jogged in the dark, went through scores of dangerous mountains/hills, run in high heels. There were hardly any occasion when I get tripped over. And what I'm getting at is that we could alter how post scores are displayed without breaking anything, @Mari-LouA. Spam still disappears with 6 flags, but appears to have a score of 0 right up until deletion; lousy questions drop off the homepage at -4, but still appear to have a score of 0. Heck, we could even do this only for the authors of the posts themselves, and get rid of the distraction (and often counter-productive feelings of rage at seeing their work rejected) while still warning other readers that they may wish to look elsewhere...
