EddieFirst of all, it's not really a virus that is used to spy, or steal bank accounts. I don't even know if it's a virus at all. I only made it to troll friends/people I know, and practice my programming skills. I will show you the code, then I will try to explain it a bit; package pracatice; impor...

Q: What about a countdown to 00:00 (12:00 AM) UTC?

dorukayhanUsers occasionally hit their daily flag/vote/review/reputation limits which reset at 00:00 UTC, especially on Stack Overflow. There should be a countdown to 00:00 UTC so that everyone can see when will the limits reset.

People doing this too often will find the 1-4 train has a seat for them soon...

Discord? That's not Disqus or Discourse... sigh, why are there so many similar arguing-platform names?
@hichris123 It's like Teamspeak mixed with Skype but better than both of them

It's exactly Slack.
Exactly the same design and functionality, just with audio stuff added.
I think people like to argue.

'To XXX better again' implies: 1) XXX was good 2) for some reasons XXX has started to go bad 3) things can be altered so XXX can become good again
'To XXX better again' appeals only on an emotional level
but think deeper: was XXX ever good? was it??
has it gone bad? since when? and in what ways?
'To make XXX better again' I meant 😂
Do I want to make XXX 'good' again? In what ways? At what cost? Since when?

Uh, any reason why Meta.SO just went into read-only mode?
no idea
We best watch the twitter account from Nick to find out what he broke this time...
that was from 6th of july
@nicael Last update was July 6; just tweeted them to see what's up (although I'm sure if there's a problem the last thing they need it me bothering them).

That twitter though. Have no idea how to use it.

Someone in a Tesla on Autopilot is gonna hit someone playing Pokemon Go and the press is gonna go nuts. Or it'll be a one car accident.
I don't see what's so fancy about Pokeman go

I would upvote Deleted post in review if not for read-only mode. When a user is told that the correct action (flagging) is not available, it logically follows that no action is to be taken.

old one, but really funny
Aside: is read-only mode for MSO a bug or a new feature?
new feature for you

Are the hours of this Tavern also subject to stupid state restrictions?

No, you can have all the beer that is in the tank, right now
why a beer at destination airport when you can have 10 at comfort of sweet sweet home?
you are not trying to hide your drinking habit from your loved ones, are you?

@bjb568 @ShadowWizard @AstroCB - a spate of timeouts on the MSO database was followed by the code believing the DB was in R/O mode and then switching it to R/O.
There were alerts in the dev chat room, but... Sunday.
@Oded so feature request: send SMS messages when it happens... ;)
Hook up a drone that pathfinds to the closest dev you can find whenever it happens.
In fact, dream up an algorithm that finds the optimal route between all devs that need to be notified, then let the drone fly that route!
Build AI that can fix bugs on its own.
@ShadowWizard it happens so rarely... I suspect that we will add an SRE alert, so the on-call will be notified.
@Oded SRE?

I need to figure out a way for our internal stuff to stop calling me Timothy. Only my mother called me Timothy, and there was usually fire.
Something to keep in mind for presumable Town Hall #3, if Timothy shows up there.
For Timothy.
@Bookend I need to remember this.

A randomly found Timothy Post is also an expat (USA -> Russia).
@Bookend That guy looks way militarier and grandpaer than our own Timothy.
