well, simply asserting that it's valuable feels like asserting that posting one's ideas on MSE is valuable, when all the evidence clearly indicates otherwise

in my opinion, though, when you are dealing with a system that actively encourages inconsistent and disjointed moderation behavior, and aren't willing to lay down or enforce specific rules on how to use it, the problems everyone complains about aren't going to go away.

The difference is that here we've had direct personal contact with the people who actually run SE.

you're never going to get every single 10k+ chat user on SE to agree on how to handle flags voluntarily.

Was anything important discussed?

I think a lot of us were expecting some kind of problem solving to take place and were underwhelmed when no such thing happened, but the CMs did get to see a lot of opinions coherently expressed by mods and other chat power users about the various problems chat has, and it was a lot easier to follow than last time, so I'm gonna say a win's a win.

In all seriousness, I was struggling to find a reason to make a chatbot, so I was spinning up shit off the top of my head. I cooled down a bit, deleted the repo and went to work on something better
