@Quill It's still a part of your story... but yes, I don't think it would reflect later renaming of a question either.
arghhhh reading stack overflow careers is depressing.... there's all these super cool tech jobs i could apply for.... if only I'd already finished my BCS
I get the feeling "i'm currently doing my bcs" is a easy way to get the response "no"
I was just asking a question on Gardening SE and suddenly my user name there is a25bedc5-3d09-41b8-82fb-ea6c353d75aand my picture is replaced by a Gravatar. My location is also left blank.
Here's a link to my profile there.
Curiously, my profiles on all other sites are fine.
I don't have a sep...
@ShadowWizard Not quite the same one, unfortunately. With this one the name becomes user####### and the user's avatar is replaced by a grey and white image, as if the user had deleted their account. Sometimes this seems to delete all reputation and badges on the site and sometimes not. In the former case it seems like quite a serious bug.
@PeterDavidCarter you mean in a single post? This happens when a moderator disassociate the post from the user account, usually following a request from the user. Rare, but it happens.
@ShadowWizard I mean the full account. The account becomes user#####, and when the user tries to log back in, it creates an account with a same name, but a new user number. I wish I'd taken a screenshot when it happened to this account.
@ShadowWizard You'll now get pings from me if I report a post on security.stackexchange.com, in room 1698498382902858392948748303 on chat.meta.stackexchange.com
