Q: What should the system be deleting automatically that it already isn't?

Shog9So this question got me thinking... We have several automatic processes in place for cleaning up cruft, deleting questions that are very unlikely to help anyone else. They're fairly conservative though; an awful lot of lousy questions hang around much longer, occasionally cropping up to annoy fo...

Background: of "rep addicts" and "help vampires" See this answer to "Why is Stac...

> Why not just get rid of all the low-quality posts entirely?

Because, like it or not, many users enjoy answering these questions, and there's no reason to stop them from doing so. Yes, maybe they are doing it just to earn some quick rep, but they are still helping at least one person and quite possibly the Internet at large.
Those two statements don't seem to go together. A low quality question cannot help the internet at large (it's low quality, so you can't understand it! :P).
@JeffreyBosboom Yeah, I'd like that too.
Dare I ask Shog for a status update on his roomba proposal?
user315433
Some consider "how do I write a script to do this thing" a low quality question.
user315433
But when a good answer is given, it's actually helpful to those looking for such things.
@Marshmallow Depends upon the "thing". :P
If it's "write me a CMS", that's obviously low quality. But low effort & narrowly scoped questions are actually probably okay.

In software, a stack buffer overflow or stack buffer overrun occurs when a program writes to a memory address on the program's call stack outside of the intended data structure, which is usually a fixed-length buffer. Stack buffer overflow bugs are caused when a program writes more data to a buffer located on the stack than what is actually allocated for that buffer. This almost always results in corruption of adjacent data on the stack, and in cases where the overflow was triggered by mistake, will often cause the program to crash or operate incorrectly.
