Or at least I hope so, otherwise it seems pretty useless since you'd have to stumble across the post to approve it in the first place, and at that point could have just edited it yourself.
@MichaelMrozek @TimStone is correct; this is a side effect of work-in-progress. The precise rules "who can do what about suggested edits" are still being worked out
It'd be nice to have some sort of list of your approved edits somewhere, although since you might be giving people rep for approving their edits, I guess it's not public-facing information like the rest of your activity. Ah well, we'll see how it plays out.
