This looks like a Puzzling problem: how does balpha encode the shape of digits 0-9 in the array X = [119, 18, 93, 91, 58, 107, 111, 82, 127, 123]?

Yes, my point was that normally, even one accepted answer with score of 4 would give 55 points, putting the user beyond Smokey's rep limit.

@NormalHuman 10 year suspension? wow.

user259867
12:16 AM
But he's suspended.

user259867
So, I get that one should look at binary form. Say, 119 is 1110111, representing a shape with a hole (i.e., 0)

user259867
And 8 is written as 127 = 1111111... which means some of the implicit zeros are omitted.

 * *
* * *
 * *
I'm guessing that's what the bits represent?

user259867
The difference between 8 and 9 is that 9 is represented by 1111011. Hmm.

(which explains the funky-looking 7)
@NormalHuman Oh, then I'm wrong

user259867
12:21 AM
Should I post it as a Puzzling question? :) Don't have much time for solving it myself.

Heh, the folks in PPCG chat might enjoy figuring it out

user259867
For completeness: 0 = 1110111, 1 = 0010010, 2 = 1011101, 3 = 1011011, 4 = 0111010, 5 = 1101011, 6 = 1101111, 7 = 1010010, 8 = 1111111, 9 = 1111011

user202362
@NormalHuman your question is unclear

A seven-segment display (SSD), or seven-segment indicator, is a form of electronic display device for displaying decimal numerals that is an alternative to the more complex dot matrix displays. I had a dream and woke up around 4:30 in the morning because I felt a faint (non existent) tickle/itchiness sensation on my neck. The dream was like this: in the world after some apocalypse event happened (WW III, nuclear event, etc. I don’t know exact what).

user202362
). A young woman in her 20s (let’s call her get J) had to fight for her own survival in a dangerous, dyfunctioning world. Then one evening, she accidently ran into an elderly couple living in an apartment. She was invited to stay there. She had dinner with the couple and was provided surprising abundant fresh food for dinner - in contrast to the food supply outside – mainly canned food or easy to grow things such as potatoes.

user202362
She spent a night in the comfortably cozy spare bedroom. And she took off the second morning. She came back at the night & spent a couple of days this way (don’t ask me for the loophole why the elderly couple allowed her). The elderly treated her as their daughter.

user202362
Soon she discovered that the couple might have another daughter called Charlotte, although she never ran into Charlotte because they always missed each other on the way. But strangely she was starting to find that Charlotte tried to get rid of her by setting traps in the apartment. She avoided a couple of such ‘fatal accidents’.

@TimStone, could you handle [this flag-review on Stack Apps](http://stackapps.com/review/close/4174), please.
Should we allow such sand/litter boxy questions? It's useless clutter, but we're low traffic and we already have semi-mandatory placeholders.
What should our policy be?

user202362
Later a violate man followed J to the apartment and tried to force entry to the apartment, knowing it’s safe inside. After some fight, the old man closed the door. It’s then, he revealed the truth that the apartment was actually a spaceship that can travel through space and time. But the old man, an engineer who was in search to find a way out of this and reach the ultimate safety – a time when this all horrible things died down and people can live safely again.

user202362
2:07 AM
But he wasn’t able to solve the equations and find the solution for this yet. It then dawned on J that the couple was always able to get fresh food because they went back to the period before apocalypse to get food and safely spend the night there. Then it’s revealed that Charlotte lived in an alternative universe (because older couple travel through space time).

user202362
The reason why Charlotte tried to kill J was to ensure Charlotte’s certainty in survival (because that reality then would become the elder couple choice). The end was (I think I was already sort of awake by then): somehow Charlotte disappeared, J & elder couple safely found the ultimate safety, they together with the people already there, starting to re-build a better new world.

user202362
I know it's weird to have a dream like this, that's why I am describing it here :p

Does anybody know if the Logitech Mouse driver software is vapor-ware?

No idea, sorry.

I would never install a driver from the manufacture when the device runs find and without issues

@rene . . . Vapor? Where is it you're working? :)

It pretends you can tweak the functions of all the buttons and wheels it has, but in practice it doesn't change any of the behavior it did before I clicked Apply

Q: interracial marriage

miaabrilI seek your advice on my complicated story, i come from an Arab family, Muslim and happy to be so. Since a young age, I knew I had a different mind set then my friends and family, to make it short, I never believed in our culture.. Especially when it comes to marriage.. Never saw myself marrying...

off-topic?

How would I know?
