This is where ESSO may help a lot

SO has a learning curve. English has a learning curve. Programming has a learning curve... Trying to scale all three at once is a Problem for a lot of folks.

Is there a guide line or meta post that describes the correct way to link to a Stack Exchange answer from your blog? I'd rather not simply paraphrase an answer, as I feel to some degree that isn't really giving the original author enough credit.

(searching for it resulted in loads of hits on 'how to link to a specific answer', but not how to properly link to and cite or even quote a stack exchange answer on another blog)
