I frequently promote questions and the homepage of a couple SE sites that are still in beta. Since these sites are new and I don't have a huge following, I am unlikely to get an Announcer badge for driving a lot of traffic to a single question, but I am getting a lot of people to visit the sites ...

This one would draw attention to young sites, and could draw new users in. It would be in the interest of SO the company.

IF the announcer badge has merit, then this badge is the same kind of idea.

It'd just be a pair of badges that are more easily attainable.

But I'm more interested in the SO mentorship program - which can also earn the mentor a badge.

Drawing new users in is one thing, and may be good for the company - more views.

Popular is just a technical detail of forming the Okay array; I dumped the results of a SEDE query into Popular, so that the manually formed list of not-so-popular but Okay tags would be more manageable. Only Okay is used by the script: if the top tag of a question is not found in it, a comment is posted encouraging adding a broader tag.

The checks are independent. Each of them may or may not add a sentence to the comment.text field. After all the checks are run, if comment.text is nonempty, it's posted.

Say, the tag transformation is popular but vague. So it won't trigger the first kind of comments, but will trigger the second kind, if used on its own.

To be clear, we all work on every site when it needs whatever talent we have - but a few of us primarily focus on SO, more than a few primarily focus on the SE network, some focus more on things that encompass everything, then there's the international team, operations team within community growth, and more. On both the full site and mobile theme, when viewed from Android and Chrome, the site icons are misaligned as seen below on the drop down site list. Can't replicate on my mac.

Your intended meaning wouldn't be that bad, most users are already pretty conservative with downvoting answers with -2 rep for -1. -1 for -2 is going to make most people never use it.

I just got my brother a sixth-gen iPod touch. That's currently one heck of a deal -- CPU power at least on par with the 6, but starting at $200.

But don't worry, the manual will explicitly say that only prime numbered fingers, counting from the right with palms outstretched, will work. Except on Tuesdays, then it's flipped.
