Heh, I got a 670 on the SAT physics subject test without studying or ever taking a physics class.
I'll take AP Physics C next year, so it'll be 800.

What's the score out of, is it like 670ppm?

200 to 800. it's weird
And it's normalized, so mean of 500 and standard deviation of 120 or so

I was doing some work for a local college (which is about age 16-18 so bit different to US I think) a while back and one of the teachers was telling me there's no such thing as failing any more, the worst result you can get is something like "repeat recommended".

@balpha I may have found the bug. It starts with Micro and ends with Soft.....

@balpha OK, Confirmed Balpha. Seem IE cannot really clean up its own storages.
CCleaner found the actual uncleaned folders.
I replicated the problem with other sites.
Eeeek, this don't happen when I am actually at home, using my IMac/Firefox. Why I have to work with IE? Sigh.
Sorry for the fake alarm.

CCleaner had no problem at all.
..... Firefox had neither.

So I just failed this audit, can someone help me see what the problem with this post is? @mikeTheLiar the question itself is off topic on Stack Overflow. So what you should do when seeing answers to such questions in review is go to the question itself, vote to close, and skip the review since it's not relevant.
(yes it's not spam, yes it's relevant to the question, but the question itself is not valid anymore)

@ShadowWizard ah, gotcha. Seems like it's not the best candidate for an audit but whatevs.

@SterlingArcher Not enough for a mod, but certainly better :)

What's the reasoning behind (in the queue) the system saying "Our system has identified this as possible spam" when the question is a test? I feel like that defeats the purpose of the test.

4:49 PM
@bluefeet Wat? VLQ has nothing to do with potential to be improved. If it was inappropriate to improve a post, it would necessarily be spam/abuse. I've never encountered a worse definition of VLQ than "can't be improved". Almost anything can be.
More evidence as to how mods should never handle VLQ/NAA. The community knows better.

sigh again @bjb568? The very definition of VLQ is it can't be salvaged via editing.
3

Editing by non-OP. That means the only issue with it is formatting, with no major content problems.
> You can't do that by Console.ReadKey(); Alt, Ctrl, or Shift are modifier key
That doesn't answer the question, so the answer has a major content problem that can't be solved by an editor.
The answer isn't an answer.
It's not just that it's "link only" — it isn't. But even if it was, the link doesn't solve the problem either.

So downvote? That's not VLQ. At best it's NAA, but I don't think that would apply.

Essentially the exchange is:
Asker: I have problem with foo()
Answerer: foo() doesn't work
Flagger: that ain't no solution
Mod: meh, VLQ definition blah blah, something something salvageable, links, blah, this is totally an answer
@Bart VLQ in that it's badly formatted and not useful, NAA in that it doesn't answer the question at all.

It's borderline NAA perhaps. But NAA is generally "I have the problem as well, did you find a solution" for example.

The correct exchange is:
Asker: I have problem with foo()
Answerer: foo() doesn't work
Flagger: that ain't no solution
Mod or Queue: it's not, DELETE
@Bart no, that's an autoreviewcomment, not the definition of NAA at all.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. I guess sunglasses are clouding your view. Try clear glasses instead.
3

"did you find a solution" certainly is NAA, but so is gibberish (also abuse), and "I love cows" (also abuse), and "can you post the fiddle?" (convert to comment), and "I think it has something to do with AJAX highlighting wafflecakes" (also convert to comment)
Answers should answer the question. Related things that don't should be converted to comment if it fits and is helpful, else delete.
"You can't do that by <what OP is using and says doesn't work and is what prompted the question>" in no way even attempts to answer the question — not that an attempt to answer a question makes something not VLQ/NAA.

I would disagree that there is no attempt to answer it. It's a poor answer that ultimately does not help the OP. It needs a downvote. Not a flag.
But maybe I'm getting all soft and cuddly at my old age ... (made myself laugh there)

What part of it attempts to answer? "You can't do…"? "modifier keys are modifier keys"? link to the function that doesn't work?
The link is in chinese or something BTW, not that it matters…

5:03 PM
The OP seems to state "Hey, this is what I'm trying. It doesn't work and I don't know why". And the answer says "It doesn't work because it fundamentally can't work". Granted, he does not provide a solution, but to state he doesn't address the problem is a bit too much for me. There's nothing of great value there, and it's downvotable, but I don't see a reason to flag.

This is the crappiest turd answer that I've seen in a while, and as people are asking in the mod questionnaire about whether you'd delete a complete answer with only code, you wouldn't delete something that contains no code, no explanation, no helpful link, no demonstration of comprehending the question, and nothing of value?
> when i press CTRL , nothing happen , but when i press any other key like "K" it starts reading key from keyboard
There's no profound realization that the answer's sharing. OP already knows that.

Sure, the OP knows nothing happens. But doesn't seem to realize WHY nothing happens. It's this that the answerer tries to address ... poorly.
Something you can indicate with this lovely downward pointing triangle.

Even with the awful quality of the question, you can easily tell what the problem is and why OP's having trouble. The function doesn't work for <test case>. This is clear. the answer doesn't fix anything for <test case>, he just says that know bad test case is know bad test case!

Are we talking about this answer? I think I agree with @Bart here. That should be downvoted, not flagged or deleted.

Yup

5:07 PM
this would be solved with a single "should be deleted" and be done with it

@Bart Assuming "why does this function not work with modifier keys?" is the question, "the function doesn't not work because it doesn't respond to modifier keys" still isn't the answer. But I should point out that the question isn't why it doesn't work, it's how to fix it.

No @Braiam. We shall fight over this at great length! I will smite, bjb will scratch .. we will pull @blue back into this discussion at some point ... tears will be shed. Blood will flow. Until Shog comes in and bans us all.

@Bart I can wield the ban hammer as well.... blue footed powers rule!

The answer is a) a tautology, b) answering the wrong question, c) in response to a well-stated but badly formatted question (which should have been edited), d) low quality in itself, e) pointing to a chinese MSDN page that doesn't prove anything, f) low entropy, g) unsalvageable because it's unintelligible what the fundamental meaning is, and h) uneditable because OP will never learn how to properly write an answer

i) tastes like chicken

5:10 PM
Tastes like chicken crap, sure.

low... entropy? What? Since when is the criterion for answer deletion "low entropy?"
(also, "OP will never learn" isn't exactly the most... uh... productive... thought process)

@Doorknob Answers convey information. Since answerable questions are SO are necessarily nontrivial, answers to them necessarily have to convey at least a certain amount of information to be valid.

That whole reason makes no sense anyway.

I'm not sure if he wants to meant the opposite of "lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder"

@Bart it is a rebuttal against the common "but somebody (i.e. only OP) can edit!"
so, no, OP won't edit.

5:13 PM
"because he will never learn how to properly write an answer"?

I certainly remember that with the "should be improved" button

Yes, don't push that when the question matches a close reason, obviously.
Should be improved are for questions with formatting, but not content problems.

The United States presidential election of 2000 was the 54th quadrennial presidential election. It was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2000. The contest was between Republican candidate George W. Bush, the incumbent governor of Texas and son of former president George H. W. Bush, and Democratic candidate Al Gore, the incumbent vice president. Incumbent Democratic President Bill Clinton was not eligible to serve a third term, and Vice President Gore was able to secure the Democratic nomination with relative ease.
