[ SmokeDetector ] Bad keyword in body: Youtube Embed Video by Edward on stackoverflow.com

Morning everyone

Q: An obsolete comment I flagged was instantly deleted- what gives?

cybermonkeyI got a notification that someone suggested an edit to an answer I wrote (TL:DR; I rejected it as it was making an unnecessary change to the URL). I then went to the actual question and found that the author of the question was the one who suggested the edit & had changed the link in their questi...

anyone help me with that?
probably some simple explanation for it

@cybermonkey it contained a blacklisted word - accept

@bluefeet ah, makes sense

These used to be tied to "accept rate" which was removed.

Oh, may have been meta-main distinction.

I got spam mail from something similar.

@NormalHuman Try doing the same thing on my answer here: stackoverflow.com/questions/29008127/…
damn, delete and try again please, accidentally flagged as 'not constructive', lol

user259867
It doesn't matter what flag is. If it matches, it gets deleted otherwise not. But I'll post with a different wording.

@NormalHuman As long as it's not an 'other' flag. I think.

ah, maybe try something along the lines of 'Please don't accept'?

12:18 AM
yeah, that didn't do anything either

user259867
Well, I have a RL job to do, so I'm out of experiments for now. It's a known fact that some patterns enable autodeletion. "What have you tried?" would be deleted for sure. "Accept rate is low", too. Etc.

user259867
It may play a role that the comment is under answer rather than a question, and so on.

user259867
Not spam, but link-only: stackoverflow.com/a/4843271

Ok, I'm scratching my head, how the heck we are supposed to describe our problem in the first paragraph? — Braiam 2 mins ago

Hexadecimal time is the representation of the time of day as a hexadecimal number in the interval [0,1). The day is divided into 1016 (1610) hexadecimal hours, each hour into 10016 (25610) hexadecimal minutes, and each minute into 1016 (1610) hexadecimal seconds. == HistoryEdit == Hexadecimal time may have been used during the Tang Dynasty (7th-10th centuries) in China. This time format was proposed by the Swedish-American engineer John W. Nystrom in 1863 as part of his tonal system. In 1997, the American Mark Vincent Rogers of Intuitor proposed a similar system of hexadecimal time and implemented...

@rekire During the french revolution, an attempt was made to switch to a decimal base time system...
Decimal time is the representation of the time of day using units which are decimally related. This term is often used specifically to refer to French Revolutionary Time, which divided the day into 10 decimal hours, each decimal hour into 100 decimal minutes and each decimal minute into 100 decimal seconds, as opposed to the more familiar standard time, which divides the day into 24 hours, each hour into 60 minutes and each minute into 60 seconds. The main advantage of a decimal time system is that, since the base used to divide the time is the same as the one used to represent it, the whole time...

Metric time is the measure of time interval using the metric system, which defines the second as the base unit of time, and multiple and submultiple units formed with metric prefixes, such as kiloseconds and milliseconds. It does not define the time of day, as this is defined by various time scales, which may be based upon the metric definition of the second. Other units of time, the minute, hour, and day, are accepted for use with the modern metric system, but are not part of it. == HistoryEdit == Although part of the decimal metric system, the second derives its name from the sexagesimal system...

12:32 PM
but you still use the same calendar?

Also notice that while a standard clock has 12 hours on its face, so a day is two cycles... the decimal one is just one cycle because the whole day is 10 hours.

@rekire It is already know that time itself is just a Timey Wimey pile of entropy and nonsense.

I rather wish the duodecimal system had won out. The mania for base ten is appalling.
