A: Why doesn't the sun reach its highest point overhead at exactly 12:00 noon?

user2724798Well, Sun was there before people and any concept of time. When people emerged, they naturally considered night as period when there is no Sun and Day where there was Sun on the sky. When time was invented for the first time (ancient civilisations), most likely 12 was the time when the Sun was...

buahahaha
People invented time, and when we got smart we invented time zone. This caused refinement in our society.

9:12 AM
I suppose the post was eventually deleted from LQRQ, or it triggered alarm again and got enough spam flags the second time.

Uh OK thanks, yeah never seen that on another site

@ShadowWizard I have noticed your edit to my post. Since it is at the moment the only question having tag, I guess the tag was created here. Are we supposed to retag some other related posts too?
(I was not sure whether to ask this here on in Shadow's Den.)

Are there also other feeds? Yes, feeds is about the rss feed

BTW the tag-info for mentions also feeds bot in chat.

He edited due to this dupe hammer of him: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/269381/…
I'm still not convinced we need that tag .... (cc @ShadowWizard)
@Martin if we decide to retag better leave it to >10K rep to prevent bumping of the posts.

9:23 AM
@rene I was definitely not planning to go on a retagging spree. But I have asked, since it was odd seeing my question as the only one in a tag.

There always has to be one tagged for the first time ;)

(I am not saying that I would not retag a post here and there if I notice something, since I am aware of the tag now.)

You can provide a tag wiki for chat-feeds

@rene Are you saying that tag-edits do not bump posts? I do not think it is the case. (And it doesn't matter whether it is inline tag edit or not.)
But I might be wrong.

@Martin I always assume if I inline edit a tag (which is a 10K privilege) I don't bump the post
But I never checked

9:25 AM
@rene Yes, I could. At least if I knew enough about them. I will wait a bit to see how the issue, whether the new tag is needed at all, is resolved,

OK

Just tested to verify- inline tag editing does bump the post and appears in the edit history like any other edit — Brad Mace Aug 24 '13 at 1:21

He is normally around and awake during this time so he'll show up

@Martin there goes my assumption ;)

9:28 AM
But still I understand that there is a difference if retag has to go through suggested edit queue. And I definitely did not plan to flood both review queue and front page with retagged posts.

Tag only edits are frowned upon but if there are more things to improve and edit that as well, you're good.

DMDE is a commercial product with several editions; the free edition has very limited functionality. Account is extremely old on Stack Overflow and has had no recent activity until now. Flagged as spam; account may be compromised. — bwDraco 3 mins ago

Hmm, I think a few of my suggested edits were tag only. If I am fairly confident that the tag belongs there, I'd guess making the edit seems better than adding a comment with suggesting which tag to use. (The comment seems to mainly create noise.)

9:39 AM
@bwDraco It looks like you reported the question (comment actually), not an answer.?.

Whoops.

@Martin well, I didn't notice the also mention the chat feeds, hence added the new tag. Now that you and @rene say the old tag does include chat, guess my edit can safely be rolled back.

@ShadowWizard It's , not . (Should it be pluralized?) But I mainly wanted to say thank you for the response.

@ShadowWizard they are different things and looking at the question list @Martin shared there 37 questions that could have the tag., at least. I'm not 100% sold on we don't need it.
147 feed questions.... no real need for the tag ...
