@bjb568 - Proper certificates are expensive (how much?). Cheap certificates require the user to accept things they don't understand from a browser scary red dialog.

Smokey already knows all the sites. It's just whether it's a good idea (debatable) and how easy it is to hook it into the chatcom functions (if it isn't already).
@Andy A partial fix is now in place. The notify command now supports the squelch suffix and the wiki asks users to avoid spamming chat with so many of these commands.

@AndrewT. I can, but I've found that I would have approved a number of the edits that were rejected, so my analysis would indicate a higher accuracy rate than would actually be true.
To tell Smokey that you want to get pinged for posts on site Y in room X on chat host Z, you have to run the following command: !!/notify X Y, and this command has to be run in a room on host Z where Smokey listens (on chat.stackexchange.com, it's Charcoal HQ, on chat.meta.stackexchange.com it's Tavern on the Meta, on chat.stackoverflow.com it's the SO Close Vote Reviewers room). Note that Y has to be the full site domain, e.g., parenting.stackexchange.com, not just parenting.
I'm only undoing several most active report fields to compare the impact between smokey's pings and a userscript.
I'm the only person using the feature anyway. I'd rather keep the alerts on my client side instead of having my name shown in the messages. Then again with a chat system that hasn't moved for several years there's not much of a choice.
@Unihedron Other people also use that feature (but just for 1 or 2 sites at a time) and please add the - to the end of your notify and unnotify commands. It works now.
