@hichris123 Blacklisted user.

bah.
@bjb568 ... installing?

@hichris123 DD is expanding to an ISP.

:D

@AlexisKing bjb bought an ISP? Eeek.

12:32 AM
@hichris123 Nonono, you know bjb, he always reinvents the wheel comes up with fresh solutions to problems. He's a brand new ISP!

Ah. So he physically connects clients to the internet? Cat runs around with Ethernet cables, like a telephone operator. Neat.

:3

Yes. His primary expense is extension cables.

Can cats be used instead of Ethernet cable? i.e. bjb can't find another ethernet cable but has an urgent request, can he connect the two ports by himself?

1:02 AM
Morning
Did you know that a single vaccine dose can contain up to 5.6 metric tons of plutonium?

1:16 AM
I did not. Thanks for sharing.

We are deploying a mitigation shortly, hang on.

Rolling our mitigation now, ETA < 7 minutes.
We are back online and monitoring all systems.

Still have tons of school

I see slashes.
In the mean time, devdoodle.net:1337 is updated!

Was that the reason my office network was so slow... oh, wait, wrong office...

3:16 AM
Darn, even bjb have a whiteboard? I should revamp my game

Where the hell is everyone?

user202362
what happened to smokey?

Ded
No smokey
Perhaps something to do with the attack?
I dunno

If it's, then it's the deadliest attack I've ever seen.

user202362
I missed the whole episode

Wow.. without smokey, it seems we're going back to dark age on catching spams

7:45 AM
I know right
it's weird

Wait ... we're going to have to talk to each other again? ... can someone bring back Smokey please?!?!

God please no

user202362
8:30 AM
you don't want to talk to us? :'(

user202362
I miss smokey, she's the most talkative low rep user :'(

And she always has such encouraging things to say. Ask her why, and she says fuck. It's poetry.

her last words, she will be forever in our hearts

9:10 AM
@PraxisAshelin Um, not too catchy for final words.

Not until he blacklisted himself. gasp

10:03 AM
Did I do the right thing here?
Flagging as SPAM since you didn't disclose you are affiliated to it. Without that, it is just a blatant advertisement. — Patrick Hofman 2 mins ago

@PatrickHofman I'd say that was just a legit answer by a user

@PraxisAshelin Why? He just bought a previous SE domain name and uses this post for his advertisement.

ah yeah, didn't actually click on the site.

10:23 AM
Confusing. The registrant is Vietnamese, but different from the answerer. But the user on the website is the same as (possibly) the admin of that site.

10:41 AM
Smokey’s still alive in ELU chat.

I presume it's ok now?

no, @Undo didn't restart it yet.
Probably fast asleep right now. ;)

Wow, the spammers are getting philosophical... meta.stackexchange.com/questions/268679/…

1:02 PM
lol
SE should learn a bit from Atlassian how to write an Outage Report: blog.bitbucket.org/2015/09/04/…
Though SE downtime is bit less critical for developers...

1:42 PM
Given how Atlassian write some of their software, I could do with outage reports of a lower quality.
Yeah, I'm looking at you SourceTree

Q: Allow downvoting of comments to hide them automatically

Mad ScientistI know this was declined years ago in this old feature request, but my feature request is actually pretty different. The main purpose of my idea is to collect more signal about comments that would allow to automatically hide comments that aren't useful without deleting them. Comment flags work ...

voting can be a solution to the horrible comment flag system
I think I'll incorporate this into DD

2:51 PM
thinking aloud: Would anyone be interested in having a SE meta question that list all the mayor SE historical events?

We already have a change log

Nope, not what I had in mind.

Is that what you mean?

Something more like "The many memes of the Meta"
You have a FAQS style post with links to the answers, and each describe an event
event categories would be like Winterbash, April Fool, famous events like the "Power cord moebius ring" and so on
I just notice that for example there is no list that chronicles the various april fool jokes made in the years
I think it would be nice to have a single post that hold that "history"

@Derpy At least one person is interested . . . I'm tired of explaining stuff to people.

2:57 PM
@hichris123 oops :P
!!/alive?

@Undo Kinda sorta

@bjb568 My school made CC+ sound like it was just for courses offered inside school. Internet says thats not the case.
