Tim's pattern still looks unclever, and he’s usually good at these things.

No reason to have .+? in there either.

You just want a sequence of 5 repeating "words" separated by any sort of non-word sequence.

Never do .* or .+? or whatnot.

Plus minimal matching is slower than maximal anyway. Even so, you hit catastrophic backtracking.

The thing is that with backtracking you have more states in practice. Watch:

Q: Why is the Lounge<C++> room being closed?

Even though the room is considered by some to be counter-productive, the room has provided benefits such as side projects and the discussions about the C++ standards that have been thought provoking. What is the main reason for closing down the room this December?
