Shouldn't it be "The Questions" didn't have enough activity?
Or was the site named "Answers on Startups"?

user259867
@U̶n̶i̶h̶e̶d̶r̶o̶n̶ Yes it was. See web.archive.org/web/20130815194145/http://…

user259867
The URL, answers.onstartups.com still redirects to Stack Exchange, into 404.

Sweet banner!

user259867
Oddly, onstartups.com despite having reasonably fresh content, still carries the vestigial link to the defunct site.

Ok, that's totally crazy!

Totally.

@SmokeDetector This question sure attracts crap, but it's also an old one.

@Jamal you would be correct if you used a point instead of a comma and the later part was never written

@TinyGiant Smokey doesn't listen based on rep, it listens based on a whitelist.
We really should probably have two tiers, one for tpu/fpu and such and one for admin-level stuff

user259867
@Undo Would it be a problem to have tp/fp public? Without the -u part.

user259867
The damage seems to be pretty limited. You're not using bayesian for anything, and the random-generated titles we get aren't of much value anyway.

@TinyGiant There is a way, but do we really want to do this? We haven't discussed this in the team yet, but personally I would say we shouldn't because we want to be sure that people know how to use Smokey before they get access to privileged commands. cc @Undo @hichris123 @NormalHuman

user259867
I've made an alternative suggestion here...

@NormalHuman I'm not sure... a random troll could come in and mess up Smokey's bayesian filter, if they can be bothered to get 20 rep just to do that, but anyway...

user259867
@ProgramFOX Okay, how about making "del/gone/delete" public then?

user259867
As I see it, the main concern for folks in other rooms is that when a report drops in and it's noise, they can't get rid of it easily.

@NormalHuman Making commands public isn't going to solve that. The only other room where Smokey listens to commands, is the SOCVR room, and I have given frequent users privileges there.

@KevinBrown Deleted migrated questions still redirect.

10
Q: Should question stubs left over from migration be deleted?

Bill the LizardThere are thousands of stub questions on Stack Overflow that are left over after a migration to SU or SF. I know they serve a good purpose, but it seems like a rather short-term purpose to me. Should we be deleting these after a few days, or is there a reason to keep them around long-term? One...

@Braiam Yes, but that doesn't explain why we don't just delete them instantly.

Myeah, should have stayed out of that one. But it's a shame to see someone with a possibly valid point muck it up like that.

The use comments to get clarification from the OP didn't work well there...

And the "good luck" is not meant to be deadly. It's just that if you hear yourself too much in what should be a community discussion, you're probably doing it wrong.
