And... it was just my two year Stack-versery a few hours ago.

user259867
Happy birthday.

Also, happy 5th birthday to Photography, launched 2010-07-15 UTC. A question from the first day of private beta, now locked: What are your easiest photography beginner tips? by mmccoo.

@1999 Mat should be pride of his mug...

user259867
Despite the abundance of votes, its view count is pathetically low. The most viewed question on Photography is much better: What does STM mean on a Canon lens? by dpollitt.

user259867

user259867
The domain is narutoshippuden-episode.com... meh, too artificial. But enabling link-at-end for SU may be a good idea (since it only affects low-rep users, many of these would not be reported).

user259867
Especially if the rep limit on spam reports were lowered to 30 (still beyond a single upvote+accept).

Spam or just NAA?

user259867
NAA is enough for me.

user259867
12:56 AM
An update regarding my starred message: both sites are 6.5 hours into private beta. Portuguese.SE has 105 questions. Arabic.SE has 16 questions.

@1999 is night time in Br, wait till is day/noon at africa/asia

Already noticed the first part.
They keep updating it. :)

The traffic to that site has grown so, and most of it is mobile (dark blue).

@1999 don't forget about keeping Lifehacks handy as well.
"How do I make the truck stop, Help, I've never braked a truck before"

user259867
That should be off-topic because doesn't require an unusual solution.

I think this might be my next avatar

@TinyGiant MY EYES! WHY!

user259867
Thankfully, animations are disabled in avatars

1:13 AM
Lol, was searching for "abstract rainbows and unicorns lsd'"
So many rainbow/unicorn avatars, was thinking something a bit abstract and possible lsd related might do the trick
It wasn't animated on the google page...
possibly this

user259867
On Spanish.SE, a bit over 50% of questions are in English; meta is all in English. On Portuguese.SE, nearly all questions are in Portuguese, main and meta.

@1999 because spanish.se is more like ELL, while the other is ELU+ELL

@1999 Muito esquisito.

@TinyGiant that doesn't looks like an unicorn anymore, maybe @UnicornsAreVeryVeryYummy or @spa can confirm that

A lot of people seem to be supplying answers in both languages.

That one wasn't supposed to be a unicorn anymore, just trippy

That's what I'm thinking now

Q: Is there a CM designated to be responsible for the community?

MathI'm missing a figure of a CM here to help the site with some guidelines. When StackOverflow in Portuguese was launched, we had Gabe fully designated to take care of that community, will Portuguese Language have one as well? Who?

keeps walking yeah, that looks cool @tiny

lol, that was the point. Everyone and their dog seems to have a unicorn/rainbow icon, as such if I'm going to have a unicorn icon, it better resemble my mind...

@Dronehinge TY :)
@Dronehinge Is there a concise reference to these rules somewhere?

so not much point in using close votes on ones that will be roomba'd soon, could save them for questions that need to be closed but someone already answered

A: Enable automatic deletion of old, unanswered zero-score questions after a year?

Jeff AtwoodJust to formally document the exact policies we have in place to remove old abandoned / dead questions, the Community user will delete questions in the following circumstances: If the question is more than 30 days old, and ... has −1 or lower score has no answers is not locked ...or... it ...

1:49 AM
@Dronehinge Thank you

I wonder how many questions exist on the Stack Overflow right now which are closed, have a score <= 0 and won't be automatically cleaned up.

what do you mean exactly?

@TinyGiant only those that have answers with score >0
or accepted

Basically any questions that are closed, score <=, with either an accepted answer or an answer that has an upvote.

a lot

2:00 AM
any of y'all seen Inf in here recently?

Interesting, but it would only affect self-answer questions which have no other answer

thus "related" and not "duplicate" :)

Wow, just looking for closed questions with accepted answers there are 232,007
Removing duplicates brings it down to 154,986

2:14 AM
@TinyGiant Yeuch - we could be busy for years. :(

So here we are closing the hell out of questions, trying to make an impact before the flood of new closable questions overtakes us, only to find out that a lot of those closed questions won't be deleted any time soon, and will probably stick around for a long time.

@TinyGiant just 108k actually stackoverflow.com/…

It's depressing. You think you're making a difference here, but in reality we're making almost no difference at all.

Well we are stopping those questions from getting further answers
Unfortunately, the FGITW answers still get through and still get upvotes
Or accept marks
@Braiam Thanks.
If a closed question has a score of 0 or less, why does it matter if the answer solved the question? It's still a bad question.

@TinyGiant and that's where most people don't understand my point

2:22 AM
And those queries don't take into account questions that have answers with upvotes.
@Braiam What is your point that people don't understand?

@TinyGiant bad questions even answered are still bad questions

I most definitely agree.

I remember having to use the pig lipstick simile one time

Lol, polish a turd and all that
I want to get to 10k so I can cast delete votes, but it is honestly so hard to find questions worth answering.
And when I do find one, I usually have to ask for clarification beforehand, wait for the user to not supply the clarification, close as such, wait for the user to clarify, vote to reopen, then post an answer. At which time there is no possible way my answer will get upvotes.
And all the while, questions like this live on

I don't understand why you want to teach kids to code. There are enough children writing software as-is.

2:36 AM
I'm so good at this: Commit message: "ALL TEH THINGS"

lol

Lol
And there seems to be no real authoritative source for "Don't answer bad questions!" on meta, there are some that touch on certain topics but no straight-up "Don't do it!"
Then you get answers like this one from high rep users, where the user is adamant that their answer is a good answer and should be allowed no matter what, and they usually cite the fact that there are thousands of questions that are closed with upvoted answers, like it's a good thing.

arabic.SE is weird , like most everything is in English in question summaries, and example questions on area51 were like half and half, not off to a good start.. it's not like ELL, more like ELU i thought

Maybe call the room "Don't answer bad questions!"
