I think Mathematics should be exempt from the phone number filter, given its inability to tell phone numbers from other kinds of numbers. Besides, with the level of activity that Math has we don't have to worry about spam lying around for long. @hichris123

@SmokeDetector fp-

@HomegrownTomato Yeah. I agree.

user259867
Speaking of spam lying around for long:

@HomegrownTomato done

9:35 PM
@HomegrownTomato 5 hours? not that long for Ask Patents

user259867
Yes, but longer than it would live anywhere else.

user259867
I'm pretty sure that if every post on Patents with >1 link was reported here, we wouldn't have too many fps among them.

user259867
Unfortunately, I don't think Smokey has a built-in capability to filter posts only from a specific site. It goes by exclusion.

@HomegrownTomato No, it does.
Hmm... well, there's quite a few questions with URLs...

user259867
@hichris123 But how many with more than one?

I think there was a way to use SEDE to search for posts with two occurrences of some string...

@HomegrownTomato Hmm... not sure.

user259867
9:43 PM
Eh, I'll just download the last 50000 posts and search the results

...
So much simpler. :P

user259867
Turns out, I can't do that. Because they only have ~5000 posts. :)

user259867
Hmm, 1827 posts with 2+ links

user259867
No, 1151 (counting multiple "href" rather than http)

user259867
Still too many

9:56 PM
Hmmm....

user259867
But most of those are answers

user259867
I should go back and check only questions

user259867
365 questions with >1 link

Still quite a few.

user259867
Yeah, well-researched questions tend to have a lot of links, though most of those are old.

But why didn't Smokey pick up on repeated words?

user259867
"endomondo" appears 5 times

@HomegrownTomato If you can figure out a regex for that...

Q: Regular expression to match text that *doesn't* contain a word?

knaserI know it's possible to match for a word and then reverse the matches using other tools (e.g. grep -v). However, I'd like to know if it's possible to match lines that don't contain a specific word (e.g. hede) using a regular expression? Input: hoho hihi haha hede # grep "Regex for do not con...

user259867
But probably not worth it; it looks pretty bad performance wise.

yeah... :/
I asked Andy for a list of Patents spam.
Maybe that'll help.

You need an inverse regex that's performant?

or, you know, split-loop-match

There is a logical not operator in most programming languages…
You can use more than just regex, right?
