A: Synonymize [draw] and [drawing]

MoosemanEven if a clear line was to be drawn, we'd have to sort through 6,125 questions to tag correctly. Then most users will still tag incorrectly because few read even the wiki except. I fully support a merge/burnination.

Mostly the whole not losing users to Chrome > responsibility to users thing, e.g. "If all browser vendors will turn off RC4 at once, I'll gladly just disable RC4. Otherwise users will just switch other browsers.". That sentence is a pretty good reason to switch to other browsers.

@AndrewT. users without posting answers has a delete option in user profile

@AndrewT. No, it takes atleast two days. They send a link (a day after the request, earliest response time) which we need to click for our consent to nuke the account, after that a 24 hour countdown continues before deletion. In that time, we can abandon the account deletion at any time with a single click.

@DarkAshelin exactly, the most complex you make it, the less people will do it incorrectly

2 mins ago, by Dark Ashelin
or the user will get confused and thinks he should edit his current question based on the meta guide
his SO question
@Braiam well I personally think my current comment is way clearer than your suggested one :/

I agree with @Undo. Just link to the site, then let them work out their issues from there. If the question ends up closed, that's SR's thing, and it's up to a user there to provide a link to direct the user to a meta post if they want.
Also in general, it's common practice to link directly to sites rather than to, say, /help/how-to-ask or a meta post.

But please have a link to the guidelines somewhere, because then at least I can say they had a chance.

You could say e.g. "Ask on softwarerecs.stackexchange.com but you may want to read [this meta post] first." or something.

@JasonC That's what I do
> @[type here] Software Recommendations moderator here. We have fairly strict quality guidelines, so I'd appreciated it if you would link to our question quality guidelines whenever you recommend someone re-ask a question on the site. Thanks!
I've been known to leave that comment on SO :P

Stack Overflow doesn't allow questions about recommendations, of any kind (tutorials, libraries, etc.) and most of the sites on Stack Exchange doesn't either. However, about libraries, if you have a defined set of requirements, you could ask on Software Recommendations, after you have read their guidelines on how to ask a good question.Braiam 5 secs ago
