Q: Navigating to the edit mode of a not-exist page produces a strange error message

kiss my armpitVisiting meta.tex.stackexchange.com/posts/2603 produces "404 error" but visting meta.tex.stackexchange.com/posts/2603/edit produces "There is a pending suggested edit in the queue, try again in a few minutes." Is it a bug? When attempting to visit the page (not in edit mode): When attempting ...

deferred by all means is rejected.
never seen deferred becomes completed.
Anyway, seeing wrong message in a place we should not reach in the first place isn't that bad, kind of discouraging us from doing this ;)
@SmokeDetector yikes unformatted spam

Can someone migrate this to MSO, please?

@Undo Registered question as false positive, whitelisted user and added title to Bayesian doctype 'good'.

@ShadowWizard I can't really tell if it is, and if it is, where it is.

@Yes ?

@rene um... why??

@ShadowWizard site rec request

so MSE maybe
Asking in a per-site meta which site to post in is... weird, in my opinion

8:18 PM
Hmm, get it closed then ;)

already closed

OK, let's move on

@Oded nothing in the code indicates it was changed on purpose? Or one of the dev team?
@rene already moved on
:D

@ShadowWizard nothing I can see. But there are at least (!) 3 different projects involved.
And me not really knowing the feature all that well adds to not being sure what "normal" looks like.

Put it on the to-be-bugs-list

8:29 PM
@Oded fair enough. If you can just drop a question in your private channel with the other devs, that would be perfect. Thanks for looking into this! ;)

sigh spammers crbug.com/489682

@ShadowWizard already did that. Anna was also looking, but... damn, that rabbit hole is deep and twisty!

You should hire a developer named Alice, who will be specifically tasked with investigating these unusually deep rabbit holes you have.

So we were talking about stars in the c# chat room, and it got a little out of hand :)

8:37 PM
@Oded oh well. Guess it would be fixed when the tag filters will be upgraded/changed in 6-8 years then. :D

Came up with a star script, jsfiddle.net/zhgcp69o, thought of you guys :D

My screen dimensions are low, 1024x768

What size will satisfy you, @bjb?

6k.

eeeeeek
that's big

8:43 PM
what kind of graphics card are you running?

who got 6k screen?

Probably because I project an HD image onto an 8 foot screen ;)

Is it nitrogen-cooled?

6k? You must be 6 inches from your monitor

nah

user259867
8:44 PM
@ShadowWizard And the sites should have a design that stretches 6K horizontally, putting everything on line line. Like DevDoodle

@Undo Helium.
@Yes Exactly.

@Yes yup, that's just obvious ;)

@rene remember that is necessary two flags to make something enter the queue

A: How wide should a webpage get?

BennySkogbergA web page ideal width is the relative size 100 percent. It would make a great opportunity for you and your design team to work on mobile friendly or responsive design. It a tough approach since you have to address screen that are extremely wide, but implemented correct it is your best option. I...

I design everything to percents on web, I think it is best practice as well.

8:45 PM
@Braiam OK, I can spend some now

user259867
@Braiam Really? What flags, what queue?

gah, another starry moment

anyway, carry on! :D o/

@Yes items/flags doesn't enter the close queue unless there's 2 flags over it or a close vote
I think flagging vlq and hopping two people click salvageable would be too much

user259867
Is it documented somewhere? Is it an SO-only restriction?

8:49 PM
SO only

@Undo Actually, I am looking around for silent alarms that can send me a text message, so I can catch them in the act.
I might also cut the trunk release cable so you need a key to get into it.

@JasonC one Jason vs. bunch of bandits.

Well, we should probably ask Frank. As according to the proposal discussion, half the purpose is for clinical information on human sexuality, while the other half is apparently for Frank. I don't know Frank, but it seems like it must be really important that he all the information gets to him. — Mitch Goshorn 6 hours ago

Lol, clicker heroes.
It's the simplest freakin' game in the universe, but it also naturally attracts players with the shortest attention span in the universe. People ask the dumbest questions.

Q: Add support for .gifv format in chat onebox

AbhishrekRecently Imgur announced to drop the legacy GIF format with the new GIFV format. Why GIFV? It's lightweight Being a video format, it also allows more flexibility like not autoplaying or autoloading by default which .gif just disrespects. Oh, and you can pause it too. It supports streaming and ...

No, just the truth. While you are a kid, you aren't a parent -- thus missing 50% of the experiences.

That's just… a statement devoid of content. You may think you have a point, but you haven't presented any reasoning, data, or ideas that can be used to draw a conclusion.

Um... logic, @bjb?

10:34 PM
Yes. I like for stuff that people to say to actually communicate information thru the natural language of logic.

I like that too. However, your actions contradict your thinking.
... and now Biology time.

Yay biology.
this is amazing

I have a Biology state test tomorrow. sigh

Sounds easy.

yeah.

10:39 PM
But didn't know Biology was part of the US.

which is why I don't want to take it tomorrow.

Then again I don't know my 50 states…

@bjb568 Reorganize the sentence "I have a state test about Biology tomorrow." Remember ellipses?

Ambiguous sentences.

For pedants, sure.
Hmm, so I basically need to get a 500/800 to pass this test. Yeah, don't think it's going to be hard.
