My (quite urgent) mod attention flag waited for 6 hours before I poked a mod to look at it. IMO SO needs more mods, and especially ones which are active during the (European) day time.

@JonasCz SO does need more mods.

What makes it urgent?

Honestly, I do feel disappointed that they didn't call up more candidates to meet additional demand like several other times in the past, but that might be just me.

Mods should respond in less than 30m. There should be no backlog. They have too many responsibilities now.

They will hit an automatic edit ban after some time

"sometime" is a while. I think this was up past 12-15 pages of edits before a mod edit-banned them

@ShadowWizard Even still, just the post in general was a little strange...

There was lots of other thing that the editor could have improved here, so I think a quick mod message would have been good

@JonasCz nope. It's not spam, and most active users have favorite tags, which makes each see a different homepage.

@JonasCz That's probably true. But not urgent.

@JonasCz it doesn't warrant a mod message in most cases, one comment may be enough to stop the behaviour

If he had been editing questions in one of my tags, I'd have my front page spammed. But I've duly noted that something like this is'nt urgent enough to poke a mod. Just kind of felt wrong to me to allow edits like this to continue, esp. since he gets 2 rep for each small title change, making hundreds of rep. Just felt that it had to be stopped. Google is trying too hard to index SO spam before it's deleted

@JasonC Wait is that for real?

Adding to the annoyance, I had an OBD extension cable plugged into the diagnostics port, which they took (the cable), and decided to rip the the port and half the port wiring out with it.
Yeah
They took a bunch of weird car related stuff and left the rest; my tire jack (weird, and it was broken anyways), a car battery charger, all my OBD hardware. And also a broken 3 year old cell phone that I was using as an mp3 player.

@JasonC That's not nice.. At all.

That stinks... quite terribly...

But most annoyingly, they left no corner unscathed. And there was some extra street trash left in it as a gift.
And I swear they dumped a truckload of broken glass in it just for kicks because there's no way that window could produce that much glass, lol.

6:29 PM
Wow. For real ?

Yeah it's... actually not that unusual. That car's been broken into literally dozens of times over the past 8 years. This one was just particularly out of hand.

@JasonC Where do you park your car at night? :o

In Brooklyn. So... not much hope for it.
My landlord had hers broken into 4 times this year so far. My next door neighbor is going on 3.
I'm just going to put a sign on the door that says "Come in, have a look around, but please use the handle, it's unlocked."

O.o

"Suggestion: get a new phone, preferably an expensive one"

Lol

> Please leave a few wads of cash next time. Thanks.

Actually, haha, there was this one time, I swear I had it coming... I parked my car on an empty street at 2AM, accidentally left an iPod Video, on, facing up on the dashboard. Also I was doing some work, and had the dashboard disassembled with the stereo exposed, and the screwdriver for it in the center console. It's like I put a sign on it that said "free expensive stuff, right here". So needless to say I no longer own that iPod or that stereo. They left the screwdriver though.
They also took a brand new bag of cat litter (that was actually the worst part).
Definitely scored 10/10 on my customer satisfaction survey for that one.
@Mooseman "I found 48 cents in the center console, but it was covered in old sticky coffee. Please clean your car more thoroughly. This is very bad UX."

> Please provide shopping bags in door handle. Makes my life easier.

Is crime really that bad where you live ? Here in rural Ireland you could leave anything on the seat and also leave the car open, and nothing would happen.

6:40 PM
@JasonC plot twist: this is at the car wash

@JonasCz Crime in general is actually not that bad, except vandalism and car break-ins. The cops tend to set their sights on larger crimes.
There's a lot of petty stuff.
