FWIW, I genuinely feel like I have the best argument to appeal to preservationists: I'm currently maintaining seeds of every Stack Exchange data dump that has ever been release, and nobody else is.

@Roombatron5000 Opinion-based, I think. It's already attracting a pretty wide spattering of answers. I don't have a particular problem with the quality, but if I look at it from the point of view of, like, a canonical question on the way to draw Venn diagrams, it kind of doesn't work.
