You guys have such realistic dreams. Last night all I did was turn into a cartoon cat and run down a big hill. I also have vague memories of cows bouncing on trampolines.

I don't remember any dreams in the last 3 years.

@bjb568 Yes, I got it backwards. Should be antiderivative of tan(x). Which WA claims to be -log(cos(x)) + constant. But this constant is only constant on the intervals separated by the vertical asymptotes of the tangent. There are infinitely many constants to choose.

they eat the life force of pretty much any living thing they come across; the way they do this is not well understood and the Space Pirates in particular are convinced if they can tame/domesticate/breed Metroids they'd have an unstoppable army

yep, that's the plot in Super Metroid too

Metroid Fusion and the later Primes focus on other stuff

the first Metroid Prime had a lot of lore about this actually; you can read a bunch of experiment logs where they mention how many pirates died trying to test this or that weapon or last time one of them tried to keep a metroid as a pet
