@AstroCB What a messed up edit!
I hate it when people edit things and don’t actually fix them.

@tchrist I'd say that's a good edit. AstroCB was pointing out the edit reason.

@ʎǝʞuoɯɹǝqʎɔ Still reads like crap. Not a good edit.
It isn’t English.
I would have rejected the edit and fixed it myself. People need to learn not to leave crap.

@tchrist ty for correct, i get it — Legendary 1 min ago
Um, clearly not. :(
Blind conducting the blind.

2:14 PM
@JanDvorak Me too.

I know a trick that makes it impossible to be given a close-vote-review audit without it being immediately and pathetically obvious. And no, I don’t mean clicking through the link. You just look at the proposal and know right away it’s a lame audit test.
Is this common knowledge? :)

@tchrist I was going to fix the rest after it got approved; at least it fixed the indentation.

@AstroCB Good for you!
I think if it is not common knowledge, maybe I should keep it to myself. I’ve never failed an audit. :)
I found it by accident, not by intent.
The audit code is subclever, and I should prefer it remain that way.

Sure you can inspect the AJAX, but that's been known for ages

Are you talking about this? Was a bug, but people still say it appears. Don't have 3k on a site with close review audits to ever see.

2:19 PM
No, easier. No inspection required. It simply presents you with stuff you didn’t filter on. D’oh!

not really always

Right, it’s not utterly guaranteed. But if you have a tight enough filter, it is hard for them to find a candidate.
So they pick something your filter could not match.
Instant give-away.

@InfiniteRecursion kaboom

I call it the Mjölnir Review Queue. Very proof against audits. But then again, it doesn’t try often, either, because I don’t robo-review.
Can people have animated gravatars?

2:24 PM
@nicael Do you purposely 'Edit' suggested edits and not edit anything to speed up the process...? ;)

of curs :D

clever idea though :)

@tchrist Reopen votes has categories, but not CVs?

No, CV reviews have categories. It’s an orthographic fault.

Q: Updates to the site

@nicael Do you have a HiDPI display and zoom it in or are you just zooming on a standard display?

There are bugs left in the design just for nicael to find. Nobody will spot them otherwise.

Q: Green rep rectangle sticks out a little

nicael When I hover it. I think its grey background should be resized too.

Q: The arrow in the upvote button is not properly centred!

nicaelOK, let's take this pic of upvote and downvote buttons: Now we'll look carefully at the downvote button and rotate it: And now rotate the upvote button and look at it: You see it, yeah?

@nicael I beg to differ ;)

:D and what's obscure in them?

Q: Gaming system with accepts

nicaelWell, it is not really efficient, but gives some reps (tried two days ago, only 41 reps :-) ). I have, for example, 50 question where I had accepted answers. And 101 reps, because each accept gives you 2 reps. Then I offer 100 rep bounty (or lose this rep by some other way, e.g. downvotes), unac...

Q: Reputation flaw for new users

Matthew0898I noticed a flaw that applies only to new users or users with few to no upvotes, and low reputation. By exploiting the fact that reputation doesn't go below one, one could theoretically get undeserved reputation. There are many variations that could be applied, but one of them is this. A user ask...

Q: Why all the Stacks Overflows are svgified except pt.SO

nicaelSO, ru.SO, ja.SO are svigified: But not pt.SO: It seems to use semi-old design (can be seen by looking at the logo). That's also strange because pt.SO is older than ja.SO or ru.SO, but still not svgified. P.S I don't know to which word I should append "s", so I've written Stacks Overflows...

@uni You fixed all the md problems yet?

@bjb568 couldn't

sneaks a gun into Unihedro's hand

@nicael And hard to write, too. :)

@Unihedro I VTC'd the first two, less sure about the third.

@AlexisKing What should I do to the random person who pinged me to ask an unanswerable question just because I've edited a post a year ago?

makes sure @Unihedro notices the mysterious gun in his hand

@Unihedro If the answer isn't obvious to you, or if you just don't want to deal with it, tell 'em to ask a new question.

5:34 PM
... or just ignore them

I hate to point it out to you, but 3D printed guns don't work yet. Neither does Rust.

to whom? Who talked about 3d printed guns here?

... This is a printed gun.

@Unihedro wat++

:/
My watness on the Stack Overflow adventure of today has reached an all-time high. I should take a break.
Also, LiveJournal sent me a desperate email trying to get me to remember them, but I don't even have an account.

@Unihedro Their campaign name has a typo. Instead of "Remember LiveJournal" it should be "Remember LiveJournal?"

@Unihedro Or maybe that's because of your inversion?

Perhaps 1 site × 100k, or 2 sites × 50k, or 3 sites × 33k, or 4 sites × 25k, or 5 sites × 20k, or 10 sites × 10k? :) More seriously, the new gold Illuminator badge might be worthy of cross-site editing privs. — tchrist 5 mins ago
Probably though Illuminator is too rare.

@hichris123 It works on everywhere else though.

@tchrist I didn't know you were the tom christiansen...

@LynnCrumbling That’s why I wear an incognito. :)

@tchrist nice.
@tchrist Never bothered to read your profile until a moment ago...

Well, anyone can put anything they want there.

I should write something dramatic and unreal in my profile.

@Unihedro Yeah. You should be from the other side of the world. Like.. hong kong or something....

@LynnCrumbling "I am a curious subhuman who travels to the Earth trying to learn something new, but it's so boring and fruitless that I regret my time here."

6:07 PM
@Unihedro caching...

@Unihedro Or that.
@tchrist Yes.. but the gold badge in perl does help add a certain degree of authenticity.

@Unihedro Always caching…

Cool cool.

So I ran a competition where entrants had to draw random numbers, then when the entries were drawn people who lost moaned that it was rigged.
can't get any more random than this:

@LynnCrumbling You get that automatically when you get the gold regex badge. :)

6:32 PM
Btw, are there any four brave volunteers to check if this is fixed?

I'll help!

Bravo!

@nicael tl;dr: no because it doesn't matter.

ur boring

@nicael Haha, I'm amused by @AnnaLear's response to that. :)

6:46 PM
@AlexisKing :) what exactly amused you?

> Having said that, you should really stop using live sites as your personal sandbox. It's not that we don't appreciate your efforts (we do!), but it's ... awkward.

:D But that's true!

I like to picture the SE staff sitting around and suddenly saying, "Oh, dammit, @nicael posted another bug report!"
In all seriousness, how the hell did you do that in the first place? o.O

Ah, this. Got it.
@AlexisKing I used the site as sandbox and spammed on it to find out the bugs. ;D
But actually, I did.

@nicael But what did you actually do to migrate the question? :o

6:50 PM
Faked the migration path. In other words, sent a fake request with a path pointing to MSE :)

At this point, SE should just hire you and make you their entire QA department.

@nicael Which, I don't know, might be why you're serving a year suspension there.

Nick was so annoyed he couldn't spell.

@pizza Yeah, I remember that. ;)

6:52 PM
@hichris123 Of course it is! Seems that I already said this there bunch of times :D

@Won't I hope this signifies nicael's return to form he once had, uncovering undocumented behavior that strains the bounds of common sense. — pizza Mar 25 at 17:16

@nicael The point is: they don't want you doing that.
See, there's a very simple solution to these "exploits": destroy, destroy, destroy.

@AlexisKing something about milk and free cows

user259867
@AlexisKing Well, except the developers would be spending time on bugs that only nicael would exploit... instead of, say, reworking the queues, question lists, and the ask question page. Not to mention the global login.

Right now, I can just suspend him / delete accounts when he crosses a line; that gets harder for folks marked Employee.
@nicael yup

6:56 PM
@Shog9 you have database access, I thought...

Ironically, it turned out I'd investigated that bug twice, and completely forgotten what I learned the first time.

@Shog9 o.O :D

I even wrote it up somewhere. Think I could find it again? Nooo...

@Shog9 How high is this line? Just wondering, just in case, as always :D

Perhaps you should have written it down on MSE :-)

6:58 PM
I thought I did!

Some bastard apparently posted hundreds of other answers about closing under my name there.
Makes it really hard to find stuff when I need it.
If I ever catch that guy...
